- U.S. Marine Corps parachute riggers with 3d Landing Support Battalion’s Air Delivery Platoon and Marines from 3d Reconnaissance Battalion, conduct regular jump and cargo drop training on surrounding islands, Okinawa, Japan. This training keeps the parachute riggers ready to deliver supplies and personnel to remote locations in the Pacific.

From 1986 to 1990 I was the Military Airlift Command Liaison Officer (MACLO) to III MEF and made many jumps with the Marines on Ie Shima Drop Zone. That coral runway that appears under the edge of the ramp of the Herk is very rough. My main harness, emergency parachute pack and the flight suit that I wore were ripped to shreds when I was dragged down that runway by high winds on my last jump.
Thank you for your service. I never figured out who was responsible for climate planning. Marines order an available aircraft for a jump. Air Force, Reserve, C-130, ANG, C-141 or many helicopters. Neither the Marines or our Airborne ride knew about wind direction..

1980 we didn't have a chance to do this. Repelled out Chinook hell hole, off 600ft cliffs at mountain warfare training in Riverside Ca. Hell I would have volunteered in a heart beat! Keep up the great work!

These women are only there due to politics. Everything is dominated by leftist politics, from kindergarten to public bathrooms to 120 yr old statues, women in combat positions without confirming to one standard (because they simply can't, God bless them).

Absolutely courageous and determination of the female soldiers. I like this paratroopers. I understan this is an additional training beside the ground training. I like this video.

Интервал отделения нормальный для выхода в рампу. Странно, что карабин фала вытяжного парашюта фиксируется на трос в последний момент перед отделением и инструктор не проверяет фиксацию. Парни! Если Ваш борт будет подбит или начнет проводить противозенитный маневр вы улетите с борта с этим фалом в лапе! Так делать нельзя! Крепите карабин на трос сразу и проверяйте состояние карабина, чтобы не улететь с вытяжным в руке! У Вас высота боевого десантирования 300м, приборная. Вы думаете что успеете среагировать на возможную проблему. ?! На севере карабин может лопнуть или иметь микротрещины от холода.
Marines do not have "Paratroopers". The only ones trained at Ft Benning are Battalion and Force Reconnaissance volunteers. We jumped into Lake Tahoe with fins, masks and rubber boats. Just looking for a similar video and this was clearly not Recon- We don't wear helmets or "pandemic masks" .

Semper Fi and thanks for your Service. What I remember. Benning was a break from Recon training. They managed to cram two days of instruction into three weeks. Again no detraction from the Team's effort in the video. @@tbone6203
Forgot. I hope it was winter in Okinawa. Useless "Pandemic" masks, full gear and helmets with the usual three to five hour wait between suit up and drop in summer would have resulted in many heat casualties. Disorientation from dehydration when the "Green Light" flashed would cause most to forget to land PLF knees together and roll. NGF seldom worked as ANGLICO and the Naval Gunfire Officer routinely had bad Comm.
Air delivery Marines are also jump qualified. These are air delivery.
Bro get a clue the Halo jumpers are 3rd Recon Battalion. The SL jumpers are most likely air delivery and some probably 3rd recon as well. This video was from the early pandemic days when masks were common. And every jump I made in the Corps (3rd Force) with the exception of intentional water jumps we were helmets! Don't know what unit you were jumping with!

Ради кинематографии фал вытяжного парашюта парашютисты фиксировали карабином на трос не сразу после посадки на борт , а после команды "Приготовиться".
Это опасно для тех кто совершал прыжок!

marines hold their static lines differently than the army paratroopers, seems a little more lax while standing up and hooking up then shuffling to the door
When exciting on the right side of that aircraft you use the reverse grip. If you look closely when exciting from the left side they had standard grip. All depends on aircraft and what side of plane exiting mostly on tailgate jumps.
@@lb161000 Reverse grips are for jumping from a ramp. It has nothing to do what side of the aircraft you are on.
@@widowmaker7462 you're right bro! Had a brain fart the only tailgate jumps I have had were a Casa 212 where the S/L cable was only on the right side of aircraft and a CH-53 and I don't recall the S/L cable layout on that aircraft.

Marine's go thru basic jump school at Benning like every other branch so officially we are Paratroopers. We just don't use that terminology. Paramarine here class 29-86!

@@marcuspayne9744 they were a part of the marine raider/ force recon during the island hopping campaign,the idea being they would jump in advance and survey beaches and landing,but the navy UDT's were more effective.
