I'm going crazy with colors! I did not know this video with JOTA BARROS !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Surfing your channel Samuel I just saw it and I am extremely and very proud to see Jota Barros share photographic knowledge with you Samuel! Although I do not know him personally, it shows that he is a great person and as they have said in another previous comment, his work here in Spain should be much more recognized. Seeing them together makes me feel incredibly good, they are very good at their work, humble and healthy people and their language is adequate, they set a good example for our young people. I have been a streetphotographer since I was 13 years old, in 3 months I will be 36 years old, a little I know but I still have a lot to learn, you and others inspire me to improve my work, thank you guys. Greetings from A Coruña! : D

Glad to hear that Chris! I thought so too but I also always think about how people who are new receive my videos... Unless you know what you getting yourself into it is hard to convince someone to watch a 40 min video :)

man, found your videos today and so glad I did! grew up in spain actually and as I have travelled I notice now looking back that I've been doing street photography for years without knowing 😅 with so much yet to learn, it is fun to follow people like you who document your process and seeing this in spain made me miss home and excited to shoot even more when I return. Thank you!!!

I really enjoy those series. Super sympathetic guests, high production quality, fantastic B-Roll. Probably the best series of street photography on YT. The Ricoh GR never interested me but now I can see their potential.

Hi samuel! I really liked the video, but I missed one thing ... Santiago is the city of rain, with an architecture and urban landscape modeled by the weather, and it was a fantastic opportunity to photograph its true essence, its soul . Therefore, it is missing to see more photos, more "field work". Now we are tired of seeing streetphoto with photographs of huge contrasts between lights and shadows. This was the perfect opportunity to be different, to do something different from others, in an unbeatable place for it. I have loved your conversations, but I would have liked to see your vision of Santiago... In any case, a great hug and congratulations to you and Jota!

I started photography at the age of eleven in 1979, by the hand of my father. I left the photo when the analog world disappeared, back in 2004. With the pandemic I have recovered everything analog, including the darkroom.
I'm not thrilled with the "computer" side of digital photography, but I do admit that it makes street photography much more versatile.
I've been following you for a while. I have confirmed on your channel that photography is emotion, feeling and empathy. Technique and technology are secondary, just a tool to say things that come from the heart. In short, a way of understanding the world. It's the best thing your stories have left me.
I was born in Chile many many years ago, I grew up in Mexico and Barcelona, and now I live in Mexico. I am a professor of Art History. My mother's family comes from Galicia, from Santiago de Compostela. I have been following Jota Barros for a long time. Many emotions together... you made me cry.
    Thank you, Ariel Arnal.
