There's a legend where they say Jane Seymour's heart was placed in stone inside the walls of Hampton Court as a sign if respect for her. So her heart is literally in stone.
this song makes me cry. The fact that jane was really only loved her coz of the gender of her child not because she was a nice person (ik she was but thats not why henry loved her)
random Ezzer I know you can't fit everything into the song but he did actually like her for some part of her personality, at least in comparison to Anne Boleyn. She was demure and quiet like women were expected to be and that got him going I guess
Lots of people say she’s known as the only one he truly loved because she died before he got a chance to get sick of her, but it put her on a pedastool above all the others. I wasn’t there obviously but I think he also loved her as well, but I I guess he loved them all at the start. I don’t know. I’m sure she was a nice person
When I was in history class I was learning about King Henry but got a little off track and started researching Queen Mary. I became very sympathetic with her and I'm disappointed she wasn't mentioned in this song, as she was very close to her stepmother Jane.
Edward V did die at a young age, I believe around 12-13. He died shortly after inheriting the throne. He was a sickly child all his life. But yes, Jane died shortly after giving birth to him. What’s really sad is what happened to Catherine of Aragon’s daughter, Queen Mary I. She was known as Bloody Mary. Sis had a really tough life and brought the Spanish Inquisition to Britain. I feel like Catherine and Mary probably had the worst experience.
I'll say mine in ranking order (1 being the best and 6 not being the best, but not the worst either). 1. All you wanna do 2. Heart of Stone 3. Don't lose your head 4. I don't need your love 5. Get down 6. No way.
Im playing as Jane in a summer camp and I'm scared of the high note Edit: it was moved and unfortunately the person playing k Howard got covid. They might move me to her and have my understudy do Jane. I'll give more updates Update: K Howard is better and I'm back to Jane. we're doing it next week update: I didn't hit the note BUT I belted the yeah really good and it was alot of fun also if i said November 13th we changed it to get it over with
This is my favorite solo song, because it's powerful, because I think that she knows that the only reason why Henry VIII "truly loved" her, is because she bore him his only son. However, she's sad that she'll never get a chance to raise her son & see him grow up. I didn't see this ballad coming, because most of the songs in Six is fun upbeat comical R & B, powerhouse, club music.
Toby Marlow said that he’d like it if Demi Lovato played Jane Seymour in a movie version of Six. That would be so cool! I actually get some Demi Lovato vibes from this song. Anyone else?
I find her song touching but out of all the Six I dont pity her at all. Everybody says they are underrated but Im like: at least they didnt have a brutal death.
Mayday Janette You pretty much hit the nail on the head! There are just a few other things I’d like to add. The most likely reason why she was in labor for so long was because her baby was breech. She was probably beyond terrified not knowing whether or not he would survive the birth. Plus, I heard that the protocol for a breech birth was for the midwife to lubricate her hands with butter or oil and pull the baby out. I’m not 100% certain, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried this method at one point. Also, some people suspect that there were pain relief remedies available at the time. They were most often made from opiates. However, many Christian religions condemned the use of pain medication. The reasoning was that pain in childbirth was punishment for original sin and thus something women were meant to endure. So, I can imagine that she went through labor without any anesthesia.
This reminds me of my character Allison, a young woman who has bipolar disorder, aggravated by her alcoholism. Her only close companion is her therapy chicken, Olga. This song is how she feels everyday.
I don't have a fave queen but she is the only one you can say you have done nothing wrong to Aragon: fought the king Boleyn: helped get rid of Aragon ( she could have said no) then was a horrific stepmother to Mary then she got her head cut of because she flirted with other men Cleves: kinda didn't tell the truth about her looks Howard: well she got her head chopped of for hooking up with other guys ( I think correct me if I'm wrong) Parr: she married not for love but to be well respected and then goes off about not needing Henrys love Seymour even cared for Mary and Elizabeth and they weren't her children I may not have a fave but I know who the best person was
Correct me if I’m wrong but for Parr if your going off of the song she sung then it wasn’t directed at Henry it was directed for her bf saying she doesn’t need his love? Plz correct me if I’m wrong x
You’re not wrong, but she did really love Thomas, her boyfriend. She was forced to marry Henry VIII. He threatened to kill her if she didn’t, so she was forced to break up with her boyfriend, who she was set to marry at the time.
Also, Aragon didn’t really fight him, she was trying to do what was right. He cheated on her several times but she stayed by his side. she didn’t want divorce because you would be disowned by the church if you did. also, Howard has a very sad story. She just wanted love, but she was raped and abused by many of men. most of her “hookups” were involuntary.
stacky uwu yupz, apparently henry had planned to marry his 7th wife who was also named katherine because howard did something (I don’t remember what she did) but she escaped henry’s wrath by making a lie I think
