That's awesome man good job! Whatever you do I know your dad appreciates it. I know how it is to have non English speaking parents and having to help them. I do tree work in Washington state if you need tips let me know.
@@oso7767 hey man I’m currently trying find my way across this same field of tree service and am trying to help my father I have a couple of questions and was wondering if you could help me out thanks.
Keith thank u for all ur videos... Amazing stuff! My husband is a certified arborist, he started working in the arboriculture industry right out of high school (11 years ago). Two years ago we tarted our own tree service business, and we are striving! I have gotten so much out of your videos, from business talks to motivation. Thank you!!!
Wow. So inspiring. I am 51 years old. Just this week our National Park Jasper Alberta was destroyed by pine beetles. It made the forest dry and brittle and highly prone to wildfires. 1/3 of the town is burnt down. It was super heart breaking watching on the news how our precious National Park burned down. I'm here to find out how a National Park recovers from wildfire? It's really devastating and I want to know which course is better. Forestry or arborists certificate
I needed this already decided this the route I am going, having small lawn / tree care/ landscaping company. Ready to continue growth for men my family!
I have two years of arborist experience with my current company. I did groundskeeping and landscaping years ago for an apartment complex. Will that count as aborist experience?
Hello my name is Randy and I love what you do I'm looking to be a professional arborist and I just wanted to know what is the hardest thing that I might come across
Wow Keith You have seen my post before. I am looking to expand into more tree work. I googled the convention you went to. The summer conference is not listed yet but i am interested. Keep posting Please
@@keith-kalfas You are welcome Keith. No I have to make the hardest decision of the day do I get out ofbed or stay in bed? lol I have 2 trees to trim today. Should only take about 4-5 hours but it will be about a $500 payday. I gave fixed rates on this I am not doing the hourly rate. I will keep following you and we will meet some day. Have a good day.
@@keith-kalfas You are welcome Keith. I appreciate what you are doing on TH-cam. I have told people about you when I am looking at my business. (Pastor, Best Friend & colleagues) You know what you are doing. Also I made some phone calls today and Both the Illinois & Wisconson Arborist conventions are on July 16th & 17th. in Champaign, IL or Green Bay, WI. Are you planning to go to either?
Can people join the conference in Columbus? I have a lawn/landscape service (Miguel's Lawn Service LLC) here in Columbus and would like to participate in some of these events/ classes.
Thank you! Keep up the videos Keith. You're a huge inspiration and have helped me out a ton in my own business and life. Been subscribed for a couple years now!
9 minutes of video and absolutely nothing about becoming an arborist lol. Anyone watching this is already motivated to become one. We dont really need the pep talk. The title is highly misleading. As someone actually trying to get their lcb or ccb it is very difficult to find accurate sources of information on how to get started. So far I habe learned you need insurance and then to pass the test. I have concluded theres 2 types of people in the industry. Those that know nothing, and those who seek to keep the knowledge from competitors.
You don’t pronounce the S In Illinois. Idk how people can get a job doing videos and not even be able to pronounce the name of the place they are in correctly . As soon as he said that I stoped watching this video . If he can’t say that right in the beginning nothing else he is saying or showing holds any weight .
I’ve been doing tree work for 3.5 years and as of last week I’m now a ISA Certified Arborist at 20 years old.
Great video!

You work in the Bay Area ? How much they pay starting for a certified arborist ?
