I like what Andre said about healing and unanswered prayer and the excuses why. My very devoted Christian mom and I had the discussion about healing disease. That conversation was the last straw to leaving my faith. I have stage 4 breast cancer. I was angry because I prayed fervently and in faith along with the hundreds of Christian friends of my family but my cancer spread. My mom told me I just need to have more faith for my healing. I said Really? It made me very upset. I asked her what about her kidney cancer, my favorite Aunt's 2 brain tumors, my best friend who also has a very aggressive cancer and her mom's pancreatic cancer. All women of great faith. She said well she just needed to work on her faith. That was so hurtful and my eyes were completely opened. I let go of the last shred of belief I had. Interestingly the anger I was holding onto for God not being there for me just left me when I finally left the faith. I feel like I have more peace and love. I really needed that in order to continue with my health journey.
I also agree with starting to study the bible more and made me realize how messed up the faith and beliefs I had that I just can't anymore. Thank you for this interview. I feel so supported by your videos. I wish you the best and great success going forward.

Do you read the Bible everyday and have turned from sin? If so, he will talk to you? He yearns to have a relationship with anyone that wants to follow him and his word. It might not be super apparent at first, but the more your in his word and truly believe, it then he will start showing you signs in your life.

I am amazed now that I don't consider God's will or pray, how irrelevant it all is in real life. My life is better than ever and I realize now, there was no actual God ever involved with it at all. God/Jesus/Holy Spirit is an idea.

I was a part of a church who went around saying that God was saying this and God was saying that all the time.
    It was exhausting.
I had a part-time job at the church office that I was struggling with because of physical limitations.
The office administrator and the pastor didn't have the courage to ask me to leave because of that.
Instead, the office administrator tried to trap me with my own words.
She asked me what I felt God's vision was for me and for my area of responsibility.
I replied honestly that I had absolutely no idea.
    She was flummoxed.
She had nowhere to go with that statement.
I knew her well enough to know that if I had given her and answer about my vision for the future, she would have found a way to use it against me and retrench me.

Not a single prayer ever got answered. Yes, I prayed for the job, and I got the job, but I now believe I would have gotten the job in any case. Every prayer was a 50/50 chance of working. Either I got it or not, no divine intervention. If I got it, it was apparently God's will, if I didn't, it was apparently not his will. But when it comes to anything significant, where I can say "It MUST have been God", that just never happened.

But although I always lose, I still just have two options, win or lose. I am not saying the odds does not count, it does, very specifically against me. With millions of people buying a lotto ticket, there are millions of people that can win or lose, but they only ever have two options each, they either win, or they lose. But I do not have millions of personal chances, just two, win or I lose.

So, 2 outcomes, win or lose. So 50/50, but based on the odds, less likely to happen.
