You can’t go wrong either one. If you like your monitor color more vibrant. and this one a bit cheaper .
yo i gotta question. Can this monitor get damaged if you overclock it? like the life span the quality?
I don’t think so! You will only play on 240hz or lower most of the time anyway!
I have the same monitor but i can only do 240hz. Can you help me?
You need to go to the monitor menu and enable overclock, make sure you check it at 280hz then you should be good to go
@@GoOfyG4mer well seems like i can't do that since my gpu is not OC..thank you anyways and i like your review :D
this is my spec in case your wondering:
gpu: RTX 2070 S
processor: i7 10700
motherboard: Rog Strix Z490-F
ram: 32gb
You may not be able to play many games at 280hz but you should be able to turn it on! If you play Fortnite you should be able to play at that 280hz
@@GoOfyG4mer can you teach me how step by step? Mine is highlighten in gray and unclickable with analog and the highest hz is 240 even in-game option 🙁
Does overclocking to 280 reduce lifespan of monitor?
nop id think so because it has a better hardware than 144hz monitors or less but if you overclock it yes it will reduce its lifespan
no it's made to overclock it is fine to push 280 hz for hours on end
Is ips a setting or is it like that by default. Sorry im looking to buy a monitor but i know nothing about them
IPS is by default!
@@GoOfyG4mer thank you
I play fortnite should I use elmb sync and freesync? Or turn it off?
Should stop playing trash games
Which cable should I use to get the 280
Only DP cable can drive it up to 280 Hz. This is what I use amzn.to/3bJkOZe
in ghost aoc is better than asus? or even being an IPS, have you found asus faster response time and less ghosting?
Just like the AOC, if you are using the overdrive to the max, ghosting will be more noticeable, if you only use it at 80% ghosting is not an issue at all. I feel like the Asus just performs better on all aspects. That’s is why I have been using the ASUS every since I switch. I can’t even use the AOC no more because of the picture quality
@@GoOfyG4mer thanks for the answer bro. In this comparison of warzone do you have any type of saturation on monitors by osd or nvidia panel (digital vibrance)? the impression it gives is that the saturation is stronger and better on the asus.
I used to have it at 60% with the AOC but with Asus I leave it at 50%, and in this comparison I left it at default which is 50%
is this compatible with a laptop?
hi, any chance u share your monitor settings?
This is my setting
I use Overclocking at 270 hz.
Overdrive 80
Elmb off
Game Visual FPS Mode
shadow boost OFF
Under Image
Brightness 79
contrast 60
color Temp Normal
saturation 50
skin tone natural
@@GoOfyG4mer im a csgo player, would u say elmb on will be better? i get above 300 fps easily.
can i please get an answer if the VG259QM is the same as the VG259QMY
There are basically the same, the VG259QMY is just an updated version of VG259QM, I would just go for whichever one you can find it cheaper
Is this monitor original 240hz?
Yes sir! Buttery smooth... and you can overlock your 280hz if your system cna handle it
@@GoOfyG4mer ok:) just ordered it, gonna use it with a 3070 card, im done with AAA games, so I want most possible fps in fps games🧑🚀
Oh with that 3080 you can easy hit that 280. I was using it with my 2080ti basically like you 3070. I hit that with most of the games except Warzone
Your UFO test is done incorrectly: the three lines below an alien should be aligned into one straight vertical line. In your case you were moving camera too fast.
I did not have the proper equipments to do the test. I know that I have to have the camera moves at the same speed as the UFO. so just use my eyes and give my opinion!
The new benqxl2546K dyac + monitor will be released for $ 500 in my country and now asus tuf 280 hz 300 dollars is there a lot of difference between them, is it worth the price difference?
and eye strain on the ips panel?
What are you more satisfied with in comparison with aoc agon monitor I will buy for valorant and lol
The picture quality is night and day when comparing to the Agon. when I play Warzone I can spot enemies from distance... not so much with the agon. I don’t know much about the BenQ2546k I will check it out soon
Hei this monitor support 120hz on ps5 ?
Any backlight bleeding or uniformity issues on this monitor?
My unit has a bit on the top left when it in the black screen! You can’t see it while gaming… ! I am just a gamer I love the monitor and have great experience with it! Don’t know much about all the technically stuffs about monitor!
How bad is backlight bleeding? Is there sharpness option in osd?
It’s really not noticeable! You have to look for it. And it have to be in a dark room for my unit to show. There is a sharpness option
@@GoOfyG4mer do you still have that monitor?
does it support PS4/PS5? planning to get this for console and PC
Yes, It Does. However you may want to go with a 2K at 144hz, because PS5 wont get above 120hz atm
I recieved my monitor and when i go to display port to get 280 hz refresh rate i cant see my mouse curser on screen! do u know why this is?
Well I think I ran into the same issues as well! Try to turn off overclock on your monitor then restart your computer. That should fix it... then you can turn the overclock back on... I set it at 270 instead of 280, and play mages mostly at 240 hz
Ok thx
It worked thank u
I am glad! How do you like the monitor so far !?
@@GoOfyG4mer great
I have an AOC CQ27G2 27” va 1440p 144hz, honestly, do you think is worth replace it for this asus vg259qm? I mostly play warzone, and as far as i know this monitor is good for fps games… what should i do?
You should just keep your monitor! I think for Warzone your monitor is much better especially for long range. It’s much easier to spot enemies with 1440p monitor. If I were you I would not
Thank you, is the answer that i was looking for. I really appreciate your time and your work. You have a new subscriber here :)
You’re welcome! And thank you!
Can i hook my Ps4 Pro to this model?
can you help me with the cfg of the monitor please? thank you bro..
What is cfg!? 😅
GoOfyG4mer config :)
