Nice use of the word "euphemism". I liked your observation about the structure of English narratives. Despite its tremendous flaws, English culture developed from a Biblical foundation, which has a clear beginning, middle, and end. This is reflected in European music, where there is a clear beginning, middle, and end, and in European stories and paintings, where human beings and moral correctness are valued. Non-Christian societies developed without that structure, and this can be observed in music, writing, and painting, where humans are small and existence flows without defined structure, usually chaotically. Really appreciate your closing statement. "I won't define your character. But hold on." From experience: If you force yourself to "believe in yourself", as the narcissistic Americans say; if you actively convince yourself you are correct, you are in fact wrong. This behavior will end in disaster, as healthy, routine, and small corrective measures will be abandoned due to narcissism.
This is not what is meant by "believe in yourself" it does not mean for you to forgo learning or believing yourself to always be correct. It's used in regards to believing that if you really try and put your mind to something that you will be able to accomplish it. It's a hope for the potential in yourself not the narcissism that you are always correct. If you don't believe in yourself then why would you ever try new things? I'm not sure where you learned of that version of "believe in yourself" but I have never met someone who meant it in the way of being narcissistic.
@@NahNah-xg5wv You completely missed the point and interpreted what I said incorrectly, I didn't make any guarantees. Its a belief not a known fact. You seem to have a very negative view on the world and others so this is the last time I'm going to engage. I hope you have good day.
I made a second comment but I can't find it. I'm not used to using YT on my phone. I still have no internet at home. I'm just posting this to see if I can find it. Because I thought my second comment about living with a very ambiguous person might have been of interest to some.
It's possible that I didn't post it or deleted it by accident. Just a brief summary then. When I ask my boyfriend if he loves me he usually replies that I'm ok. That is ambiguous isn't it? He does not want me to know that he does not love me. He is probably the most ambiguous person I have ever known and in thirty years, I still don't know who he really is. It's sometimes like living with a stranger.
I can't find two of my comments. I don't know what's going on. Are they being deleted by TH-cam. Am I not allowed to mention another person who would not see my comment. I don't know. 😢
I'm a black and white thinker because of my personality disorder. It's not something I'm proud of. I've got emotionally unstable personality disorder probably caused by a traumatic childhood. I'd never thought about ambiguity before until your video - but I would often describe people as being vague. I know for a fact that I have been vague in the past but it's usually because I'm not sure about a person or a thing. Like, someone might ask me 'what is so and so like' - but if that person has a very changeable nature (a bit like me), I would be quite vague with my answer and sometimes tie myself in knots. Really, I should just say 'I don't know' or 'I don't know yet'.
People being interrogated by the police (the guilty ones usually) are obviously vague or ambiguous because they have no other choice other than to tell the truth.
Well said

NahNah, I don't believe in myself. Does that mean I am in your good books yet?

@@Ploopy_exe No. You will not guarantee accomplishing anything, even if you "really try". You sound like that Gilbertine account.

Clear. "Think ambiguously - not black and white thinking, find a third way in contradiction. Hold off quick judgement."
nicely put.

This doesn't make sense. Ambiguity is not facing the truth it is hiding the truth.
