As a Haitian, I know Haiti is beyond just the misery and poverty.
As if the US doesn't have its own poor people. Haiti is only misery corruption. The US ALSO ha sits corruption so don't criticize!!!

there is no such thing as "fake side of Haiti". Haiti is just like every other country in the world that has both good and bad sides and Haiti is such a beautiful island but the western media always portrays it in a negative way cuz they re being paid by big corporation to do so cuz it s big business for them specially when it comes to tourism...things are changing in Haiti for good and pretty soon will regain its title: PEARL OF THE CARIBBEAN.
Haiti should no longer be defined by the problems and issues, no more than any other country is. And all other countries have some ugly problems too. Its good that the world is finally learning more about the spirit of celebrating life that we have, or the many beautiful beaches and waterfalls, amazing caves, historical monuments, our victorious revolutionary history... This treasure won't remain a secret for long... value it for what its really worth..while working to continue fixing it.

Haiti has not done a good job promoting itself until now. We'd like to see TV ads to improve/grow Tourism & change the negative images foreigners have of Haiti.
