@@nmixxroyals Solji the main vocalist was sick from the thyroids at that time so she went on hiatus to recover for about 2 years. At the time they were releasing ddd she was much more recovered but not enough to perform on stage so she and the company decided to record her vocals and leave them on the final track although she wasn't performing during promotions to get more hype from the fans and let them know she wasn't leaving the group at all, and that worked amazing and the single sold more than the previous comeback.
Solji has such a powerful and emotional voice, one of the best in kpop. Also you can notice how strong is the relationship between Exid members. They are truly like a family. Such an unique group.
Will highly reccomend you to stan them. They are so talented vocally and in dancing, gorgeous, super funny, lovely, iconic and they produce their own tracks

Last year was meh, no real changes in the kpop scene, no real big new kpop groups and stuff, and a bit boring because literally every big3 kpop gg did a cute concept (BP with AIIYL, TWICE with Knock Knock, Signal, Likey and Heart Shaker, Red Velvet with Rookie and Red Velvet) I'm new as well so maybe I'm wrong (only into kpop since January 2018) So yeah I think this is what the person means, this year there have been GIDLE, Loona, Stray Kidz, iKon, MOMOLAND who have all changed the kpop scene sort of (Loona not yet but I believe in them)
I also think GIDLE will really become one of the top kpop GG's tho

for me it's the opposite I never ever check out male kpop groups music. Just was never into it. I guess it just depends on preferences from person to person.
Donavan are you by chance a guy? Mostly guys stick with female group and women with male but not necessarily. For me I just didn't like some of the high pitch female groups but I am the same way about sopranos in opera. I listen to mostly male groups but I do not fan individuals because I am an extremely old kpop/rock/rap/r & b fan.

Yes I am a guy but I don't like alot of female groups just exid, gfriend and BP rania, occasionally 9muses. I like to stay in that area. It's like my comfort zone. But for boy groups I just don't like the over masculinity being promoted in those areas.
I haven't heard of BP rania I will have to look them up. I like Mamamoo and Blackpink. I have just started coming across individual female artists. There was a really good female artist that toured with Dean's U.S. tour but I can't remember her name. Yes some of the fan service with the male groups is a bit over the top and sometimes to be honest I am a bit embarrassed for them. I feel like they sometimes have to do it because the management promotes it.
