- I picked up a hardware sequencer in 1989 (I think). For the next few years, I stayed up most nights creating little ditties. I was using just one midi channel at the time, so it would all be one part, i.e., a synth harpsichord. I changed sounds on the mixer as I did live recordings straight from synth to tape. Yes, cassette tape. I must have made hundreds of these little songs, but only a handful were ever “ripped” to digital. This was one of the lucky ones.
I don’t remember, but most likely there was a combination of Casio CZ-101 and Yamaha DX-100. I think this might also have Kawai K5, which would have been the strings.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this blast from the past.
I will soon have a newer song up. If you missed it, please go back and listen to "Celebrate Life", which is here:

It's always nice to return to your past work to find a link to the present. This is a wonderful little piece.
Thanks, David. I do like going through old music on occasion. I made dozens of little ditties like this, but the reason this one survived is that it is most likely one of the better ones from that time period.
So very cool, Trent. Imagining Buster Keaton trying to climb onto the steam locomotive over and over again.
Thanks, Lisa. That's pretty much the idea behind it :)
This is fabulous, Trent 🎉
Thanks, Robbie, glad you like it!
love this one
Thanks!
I love this!
Thanks, Resa! A bit of ancient silliness ;)

Thanks, Annette :)
