The timer starts on the expected return from when it goes out of print. People in this hobby have become far too unrealistic with expectations of growth. Buying a set in print and expecting it to rise whilst still in print and highly likely to be reprinted is just nuts. For Scarlet and violet this is the time to build your positions(maybe even at a great price) but stop watching box price market updates😂. We are years!!! Off seeing any meaningful growth and that is absolutely as it should be.
Sellers want to relive the lockdown days when that was a thing, now that we've returned to somewhat normal times, I agree it's unreasonable to expect. I can't tell you how many sellers in my area are trying to get a premium for Paldea Evolved booster boxes for example. They try to pump the fomo, but my bullshit alarm goes off, it's still in print and not in short supply as they'd like you to believe. Pokemon themselves have said they printed more cards than in their history in the last few years. They went from 30 billion cards to 60 billion worldwide iirc. There is no shortage of modern day pokemon cards.
Oh, 100% mate, everything is still well and truly in reprint window and is be very surprised if we don't see reprints for OF, 151 and PE later this year. Still is fun to make predictions, much like sports teams and politics etc
Just buy the set you like. Open some packs and collect a bit. Keep sealed products and just enjoy your collection and sure it will gain some value, but this is a 5 10 year marathon. I actually really like temperol forces. The crown zenith is absolutely stunning
Temporal Forces is a better set than it gets credit for, definitely!
The Twilight Greninja true value shall be tested when Shrouded Fable comes out in about 2 weeks time. All major retailers in my local area have either sold out on the Greninja EX boxes, or have already pumped up the price above MSRP for pre-orders since the demand is quite high.
Because it’s better looking than the twilight one. It looks way better.
@@MrWhitmen1981don’t matter tho lol sits not a chase card you can buy the ex box to get it . Will the box maybe go up in price yes but your not gonna see no 100 doller value from that card in the ex box
Let’s talk about the reprint tho lol if they reprint twilight masquerade I think it will end up boosting the card back up again 😂 . It will drop but at reprint depending on how big gonna bring it back up and everyone gonna chase it again and I see it going back up when they do . Then about two years after this set is old I think that card is gonna be at around 300 to 400 dollers
I think tho honestly the team rocket set is the one that could do it . I don’t see a better chase card coming from shrouded fable

Can you do also the japanese version? Obviously only about the best boxes (151, vstar universe, shiny treasure ex, eevee heroes, fusion arts, lost abyss)
People way overexaggerate the impact of lower print runs of older sets.
The fact is while sets like XY base may have been printed in lower numbers the demand is also exponentially lower.
So you have old XY sets that are rare and that few people actually want.
And you have newer modern sets that are less rare but because of unquenchable demand to why are actually rarer than the older XY sets.
You should invest in another light for the right side of your face. Front left, front right, top and back light. It will stop the dark shadows. Good vids 👌🏻

is 151 definitely reprinting in the EU? I know the Pokemon center is selling UPC's at RRP + that Squirtle promo which is a sold investment but I'd love some more booster bundles! Love the video though mate thank you.
Yup, it is! I was able to order Booster Bundle Displays for msrp.
Yep, it's on its way to you mate. And if history repeats it looks like booster bundles will outperform ETBs so I'd grab some of those 👌

Great set!
Stellar Crown has huge potential to do well as a set. It may have less illustration Rares than other sets, but the SIRs, especially the stellar ones are going to be unique and have amazing artworks.

I love seeing these top 10. I keep telling myself that twilight is too new and will drop. The thing is the set is like 6 weeks old and hasn’t slowed down. I’m loving seeing temporal forces Paldea evolved and the two specialty sets are keeping up.
It'll drop for sure, but it could also get back up to where it is, depending on reprints. Lots of unknowns but fun to chat about and predict.

What are your thoughts on battle styles, is it worth buying a booster box to hold long term?

Usually love your videos but this one falls completely flat. You have to compare the sets at release or their one year make etc relative to all the Sword and Shield sets you can’t just flat out compare sets in the now
Oh 100%, changes to top 10 prices are inevitable, I go over this all the time. Predicting pokemon is the same as all the pre game predictions for sports, you can analyse, base off data but form changes, players get injured etc. It's still fun to make predictions!

🤷♂️ anyone's guess really. It already has been once and demand for it is relatively low so I think it's way more likely for paldea evolved and onwards to be reprinted

I feel like Japanese 151 booster boxes might also be a valuable investment for the future. Yes, the set has suffered from reprints, but the nostalgia of original pokemon and it's increased value from the extra masterball cards will definitely keep buyers coming back.
In 10 years time, for sure. Play the long game on those!

The problem with this kind of analysis is that you’re using prices right now.
For all you know all the card prices in Paradox Rift could triple tommorow.
Does that mean suddenly overnight it’s a set three times as good as the day before?
Thats why you should never use card prices to judge a set because they can quickly change dramatically.
I mean heck if you did that in 2022 you would assume Cosmic Eclipse was a garbage set because all the card prices were much much lower.
This is why it’s dangerous to analyze prices.
Instead it can be much more effective to analyze the actual artwork quality and pull rates.
Oh for sure mate, it's almost like sports teams and predicting, things can happen to players, form can change etc but it's still fun to chat about predictions 👌

Without watching yet. Invest in sword and shield. Its gonna go up right now. Scarlet and v, will 100% go up but way later.
Sword and shield has been making some moves over the last 9mths, for sure.
All of this talking about what sets to invest into mean that other people are going to invest into these sets so I should invest in the ones NOT talked about here. I see I see.
Also any set you can get for around $90 is 10/10 everytime... If you have 5 years to wait.
I dunno I would say go against what everyone is saying to invest in lmfao . He is saying if you want a chance at investing in the best set of this era invest in the ones with the most top ten cards because those cards are what is gonna send those booster
Boxes up in price lol it’s simple math really specially ppl that been investing for a long time . Not everyone is always waiting 5 years to make money and reinvest that money and take the gains and move on

Prediction hey , did you tell everone how bad the reprint for evolving skies was. Dont think i saw a single pack come out after reprint. 151 same will happen, super short reprint where nobody gets it. Your way off in this video mate
@user-error-420 evo skies packs are still in retail products on the shelves. I mean they are predictions. When you say I'm way off, what do you mean? As in your have certain boxes higher or lower? Thanks for tuning in man!
