- B O D I E S is a Berlin-based vocal ensemble led by Kat Frankie.
“Requiem for a Queen” recorded live at the the Baumschulenweg Crematorium in Berlin. Designed by Charlotte Frank and Axel Schultes and built 1999, the crematorium’s architecture was inspired by Egyptian temples. The hall of mourning has a natural reverb of eight seconds, making it both a unique and challenging space for a choir of eight voices to perform.

Pretty sure this is what you hear as you die and begin the journey to the afterlife. This is one of the most beautiful things ive ever seen or heard
Wow. Thank you
Bin to your concerts in Hamburg twice. The first one helped me so much to cope with the pandemic. Couldn´t wait to see, here and feel this experience again. And I shared it last year with my nine year old - his first concert ever. You are so amazing, thanks.
Wow. Thank you so much. xx

Esto me hace llorar, es hermoso
This is some of the best artistry I’ve ever seen
thanks so much
unreal
this is absolutely amazing. where/who is that bass tone coming from in the second half?! love it
I want to know this so badly!
I think it is the alto singer, but the one with the use of the microphone which lowers the voice by the octave.
@@michastopa8303mic checks out. My guess was a tuba hiding behind the camera. 😊
@@michastopa8303 exactly right 🙂
Escuse me, can you do the music score and who sings each part? I would love to learn the song, but with the harmony I can't quite get the chords
Goodness.... is there a score available?
coming soon
Is the score somewhere circulated already?
Beautiful.
Some harmonies inspired by Koyaanisqatsi and/or Songs from Liquid days? Perhaps just my personal association.
No, but thanks for tips - will check those out. :)
@@B_O_D_I_E_S Specifically the majestic opening (trumpet & trombone) of 1:'Changing Opinion' and the harmonies of The Roches on 4:'Liquid Days, Pt. 1' and 6:'Forgetting'
Gives me the same tingles on my back, so allow me to tickle you too ;)
Why does one have a mic?
We use this mic to create the deep bass notes (it might not be possible to hear them if you are listening on a laptop). Just to add a bit of extra low warmth to the piece. 🙂
