As an Indian Muslim from Bihar, I want to emphasize that I've never experienced discrimination from any of my Hindu brothers. They have been kind-hearted and accepting. However, from a political standpoint, it's disheartening to witness a growing animosity towards Muslims. The southern and eastern states resisted and fought until the fall of the mughals at the hands of the Marathas and the British. Although most people idiolize Alauddin Khilji / Aurangzeb as greatest medieval ruler , but in my opinion Akbar was the wisest of all mughal /muslim rulers in the Indian subcontinent. His empire had the greatest stability , peace , his courtiers belonged to all sects and communities of society. His geopolitical strategy was indispensable in the kingdom. Not to mention his farsightedness.
Akbar was not a Muslim tho. He created his own religion and followed that. U should read history of Akbar’s war with the Bengal sultanate aka bara bhuiyan. Even his own general joined with the bengal sultanate to figh against him. Akbar could not defeat bengal sultanate. But at the end isha kha at his old age came to a agreement with akbar which ended the dispute with some form of autonomous rule of bengal. When isha khan died delhi celebrated his death.

Even during Akbar's time Hanafi Fiqah was the constitution and his judicial system was based on Hanafi Qazis. Beurocracy was constituted of Dars-e-Nizami graduates. It was always a Muslim country during the Mughal times.

@@Saber23 : I do NOT see any difficulty imagining Hinduism without caste system. To begin with caste was NOT fundamental to Hindu society until Brahmins arrived from Eurasia. Most of the elements of modern day Hinduism come from a time or have their roots in a time before Brahmins (and the caste system) came to India. The Brahmins just took up high positions in the society upon their arrival and more or less accepted all the pre-existing elements BUT restructured the society in such a manner that they would always be on top (although that did not happen since today Brahmins lag behind not only fellow Hindus like Kayastha but also behind Jains and in some states Syeds in terms of wealth and education).

Mahmud conquer Punjab after defeating Kabul Shahis and undertook three expeditions into the Ganga Valley. The sole purpose of these raids were to loot wealth for his further Central Asian campaigns. By the end of 1015, Mahmud aided by his feudatory rulers crossed the foothills of Himalayas and defeated a local Rajput king at Baran in modern western Uttar Pradesh, Moving towards Mathura, he was opposed by Kalachuri ruler Kokkala-II, one of the major Rajput rulers of the area. The battle was hotly contested however Mahmud won the day and further plunders down several temples in Mathura. Mahmud conquered Kanauj in 1021 AD by defeating Kanauj King Chandella Gauda. Afterwards, Mahmud ransacked over wealthy Kanauj, then capital of Pratiharas. By the early 1020s the Rajput rulers at Gwalior and Kalinjar were able to hold off assaults by Maḥmūd, although the two cities did pay him heavy tribute. In 1025 A.D, he demolished and looted the Somnath Temple and its Rajput ruler Bhimdev Solanki fled his capital Anahilapataka. The Rajput king Paramar Bhoj of Malwa assembled an army to attack him. However, Mahmud avoided the confrontation and never returned to India again. Mahmmud during this campaigns successfully captured the Punjab region and thus became first Islamic invader to capture North-Western India. Over the next 160 years, the Turks did not invade India and did not expand their domain beyond the Punjab region. In later half of the twelfth century, Ghaznavids power declined rapidly and they lost their control over Central and West Asian territories. Despite the fact, The Rajputs never showed strategic insights and did not present a unified singular attack to recapture Punjab and North West frontier from Ghanzavids who ruled this area had become weak and it was from them that Shihabuddin Ghori captured Punjab and then invaded domain of Rajputs in 1191.

Ahmad Shah Ardabili was a Persian refugee. He was a Sufi preacher and religious missionary not a powerful ruler so how can he even be a tyrant? He only preached Islam and converted pagans to Islam with his teachings.

Goa had Portuguese, British and Marathas were under attack by Mughals , Adil Shah (backed by British with canons and muskets) but still Marathas made their way though by defeating them. Nawab who had jagirdari of bundelkhand area of Sagar ,panna is Muslim but his father is a Hindu none other than peshwa bajirao ballal. Simmilarly in central India Gonds always been independent. Rajputana resisted till 16th century and became independent in 17th century. Deccan Plateau too drived out Muslim invaders by 16th century.

The Khalaj people really deserve a special credit, forming two separate dynasties, islamizing parts of India and Bengal, as well as repelling Mongol invasions. Interestingly they used to be hardcore Buddhists known for fending off Muslim incursions under the Turk Shahi Dynasty
They were good conquerors, but the actual Da'wah work was (regrettably) mostly done by local sufis.

Although most people idiolize Alauddin Khilji / Aurangzeb as greatest medieval ruler , but in my opinion Akbar was the wisest of all mughal /muslim rulers in the Indian subcontinent. His empire had the greatest stability , peace , his courtiers belonged to all sects and communities of society. His geopolitical strategy was indispensable in the kingdom. Not to mention his farsightedness.
Akbar was not a Muslim tho. He created his own religion and followed that. U should read history of Akbar’s war with the Bengal sultanate aka bara bhuiyan. Even his own general joined with the bengal sultanate to figh against him. Akbar could not defeat bengal sultanate. But at the end isha kha at his old age came to a agreement with akbar which ended the dispute with some form of autonomous rule of bengal. When isha khan died delhi celebrated his death.

Even during Akbar's time Hanafi Fiqah was the constitution and his judicial system was based on Hanafi Qazis. Beurocracy was constituted of Dars-e-Nizami graduates. It was always a Muslim country during the Mughal times.

I do NOT see any difficulty imagining Hinduism without caste system. To begin with caste was NOT fundamental to Hindu society until Brahmins arrived from Eurasia. Most of the elements of modern day Hinduism come from a time or have their roots in a time before Brahmins (and the caste system) came to India. The Brahmins just took up high positions in the society upon their arrival and more or less accepted all the pre-existing elements BUT restructured the society in such a manner that they would always be on top (although that did not happen since today Brahmins lag behind not only fellow Hindus like Kayastha but also behind Jains and in some states Syeds in terms of wealth and education).

After the ninth century, the Turks, newly converted to Islam, had grown to become more powerful than the Arabs. The Ghaznavids under Mahmud Ghaznavi began their expansion in the Indian frontier. In the wake of collapse of the Gurjara Pratiharas, he raided India seventeen times, demolishing several temples and massacring civilians. Mahmud conquer Punjab after defeating Kabul Shahis and undertook three expeditions into the Ganga Valley. The sole purpose of these raids were to loot wealth for his further Central Asian campaigns. By the end of 1015, Mahmud aided by his feudatory rulers crossed the foothills of Himalayas and defeated a local Rajput king at Baran in modern western Uttar Pradesh, Moving towards Mathura, he was opposed by Kalachuri ruler Kokkala-II, one of the major Rajput rulers of the area. The battle was hotly contested however Mahmud won the day and further plunders down several temples in Mathura. Mahmud conquered Kanauj in 1021 AD by defeating Kanauj King Chandella Gauda. Afterwards, Mahmud ransacked over wealthy Kanauj, then capital of Pratiharas. By the early 1020s the Rajput rulers at Gwalior and Kalinjar were able to hold off assaults by Maḥmūd, although the two cities did pay him heavy tribute.
In 1025 A.D, he demolished and looted the Somnath Temple and its Rajput ruler Bhimdev Solanki fled his capital Anahilapataka. The Rajput king Paramar Bhoj of Malwa assembled an army to attack him. However, Mahmud avoided the confrontation and never returned to India again.
Mahmmud during this campaigns successfully captured the Punjab region and thus became first Islamic invader to capture North-Western India. Over the next 160 years, the Turks did not invade India and did not expand their domain beyond the Punjab region. In later half of the twelfth century, Ghaznavids power declined rapidly and they lost their control over Central and West Asian territories. Despite the fact, The Rajputs never showed strategic insights and did not present a unified singular attack to recapture Punjab and North West frontier from Ghanzavids who ruled this area had become weak and it was from them that Shihabuddin Ghori captured Punjab and then invaded domain of Rajputs in 1191.

Goa had Portuguese, British and Marathas were under attack by Mughals , Adil Shah (backed by British with canons and muskets) but still Marathas made their way though by defeating them. Nawab who had jagirdari of bundelkhand area of Sagar ,panna is Muslim but his father is a Hindu none other than peshwa bajirao ballal. India never became a Muslim country. There were Muslim Invaders but Hindu/Sikh Kingdoms resisted and maintained their independence. Delhi is not India. North Eastern India had never been under any Muslim rule. Odissa always was under Odia rule. Deep South had muslim rule for 12-13 years but Hindus rooted the invaders out. Simmilarly in central India Gonds always been independent. Rajputana resisted till 16th century and became independent in 17th century. Deccan Plateau too drived out Muslim invaders by 16th century.

There was no conquest of Iceland. There was one raid in the 17th century where pirates form North Africa sailed to Iceland to take blonde women for sex slavery.
Barbary pirates raided it and took loots and slaves.
