    A few things to note. 1). There's a difference between "visiting" somewhere and "living" somewhere. 2). A place that looks good on paper is not the same on how it realistically pertains to you. 3). Newtons law- For every action there is an equal reaction. The things you love about a state comes as a sacrifice somewhere. Does the end justify the means?

      Thomas The next Walt I’m on Long Island about an hour from NYC. Our governor is horrible and so is most of the state gov’t. Everything is way too expensive even though it isn’t any higher quality than other places. NYC is also being slowly ruined. The only nice places are upstate but there is also barely anything there. (Besides Rochester and Buffalo which are the only nice cities in my opinion)

    Hi Nick Johnson🙋 I have been watching your videos and helping people being informed on what states or what counties or what places they should or shouldn't live in I think it's so awesome to be doing this it's kind of videos they might be able to help people be happy and comfortable in a new home a different place to live! That's all totally awesome of you to be doing this! I am actually going to comment under Washington State video because I've lived here since I was three I am now 68 and I watched it turned terribly terribly wrong so fast probably starting 35-40 years ago that is unbelievable it used to be the most awesome place in the world as far as I was concerned and boom it went from being this beautiful awesome place to live in to a corrupt, money hungry piece of crap state. You don't want to live here trust me, as beautiful as Washington state is and it is extremely beautiful and there are lots of things to do but unless you're extremely well off you're not going to do any of them, you can't afford to do any of those fun things anyway unless you're rich they don't want you there unless you're rich you're not good enough to be there unless you're rich and jobs you're not going to make anything to support a family here unless you've already have a lot of money when you get here or a good job already set up! Otherwise you're going to be a labor making minimum wage person and you're not going to be able to find housing if you find housing you're going to be they're very long at all because you won't be able to make your monthly payments and immediately will be evicted and out on the street with your family, and I am not exaggerating at all!! Nothing is regulated here for the owners of the landlords you could be paying $1,700 a month one day and when they they want to raise your rent they raise it all right and they don't have to stop they can raise it as much as they want and that's your tough s*** you can't pay it boom can't pay you out on the street the same with the employers they could do anything they want with their employees they don't have to play by the rules anymore they took them all away it's all for the people with money and corporate so if you don't work you can't pay your rent can't pay your rent you're on the street there's the homeless fix right there they never go to why there's all these poor families homeless they're never going to go to why they're on the street and they never start at the beginning, they never addressed the issue as to why and it's very obvious and very employers and landlords stop them from doing anything they want all the time stop them from making them homeless regulate it put a stop line there they don't now how in the hell you going to keep anybody at home how in the hell you going to do that when you left the employers do whatever they want so there is no job for him well they can't pay on their home anyway then can they so of course around the street see if they fix these problems there wouldn't be an issue to address at least not to this degree not once have they ever done that and then it' obviously just gets worse! So, unless you're full of money, and love corruption and love to see hard-working people with families being thrown out on the street just because the owners, landlords and employers can, do not move here! I think that you are very entertaining, and I think you're excellent what you do and I wish you could help me and the funny thing about that is when I started watching these videos that's what I was doing it for because I didn't know how much longer I can stand it in Washington I was trying to have somebody help me or point the way to get me out of here when I found you so if you can help me that'd be awesome I don't even need to move completely out of the state, just completely out of where I'm at now which is near Seattle and in King county, and it is in Federal Way Washington next to Kent heading north!! Anyway keep up the good work you're awesome I love the videos I'll keep watching and you never know maybe someday you will contact me I live in a barn with just horses, my favorite, so I would love to wake up and hear all the farm animals and not the people animals I'm totally a country living person not even close to one being a city! Animals are so much better than people are much and much more fun to hang out with and way Nicer!! right?!!! Thanks Nick👍👏

    I find lots of fun in Nebraska, when I find the time! I work in a flour mill in Omaha. We get our wheat from neighboring states by truck and by rail! Fun to me is reading books and model railroading! I watch the weather too! Housing costs are becoming an issue in Omaha! Oh, I also study the evolution of power and gas utilities! I love our public power districts! We might be mostly conservative, but we look out for one another! Not a BIG football fan. My brother roots for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

      I miss NM so much. Would move back in a heartbeat. Yes the government is corrupt, but that’s literally everywhere these days. There is a lot of crime in some spots (especially Albuquerque), but your risk is low as long as you take precautions and don’t associate with the drug-using / gang-affiliated crowd.
      On the positive side: the weather, food, culture, outdoors are all beautiful and vibrant. People are kind, accepting, and unpretentious. NM has some of the best hiking and skiing in the world, and it’s a short trip to Mexico and all that it offers.

    New Hampshire's success really has to do with it being a border state with Massachusetts. Most of NH's residents live within 30 miles of the Mass border and probably half or more cross the border for the high paying jobs in Mass. Trust me....I see a pile of NH plates along side the Mass plates every morning commuting from the north. And the northern half of New Hampshire relies on Mass vacationers bringing up their $$ for vacationing in the mountains and lakes.
    So southern NH is basically just deep suburbs of Boston and I'll bet 75% of the dollars in NH come from Mass. I live 10 miles from the NH border and it's hard to miss!

      Vermont is great if you like living under snow banks for half the year and not having services within walking distance. It is certainly a great state to "get away from it all" because almost nobody lives there.
      Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont should just be one state.

    • @BrianR.-nu1sr
      @BrianR.-nu1sr 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @GrayJacketWasp - I think a good way to apportion state borders would be to evaluate population. Republicans like to talk about carving up California, but say nothing about Texas, preferring to drastically gerrymander that state in order to overrepresent the Republican presence.
      It makes more sense to review the states where the population is below 2% of the national total and combine them regionally. One of the biggest problems in the early history of the U.S. was the internal complexity and conflicts that existed between the philosophies of thirteen different states.
      With about four times that amount now, I think the increase in the level of discontent has increased by much more than four times.
      Due to intangible nonsense, like "state pride", I doubt that many Americans would agree with my radical opinion in this area. But let's be serious, people. Have you ever been to Alabama and Mississippi? Would you consider that an appropriate adjective for either of those places would be the word, "Great"?

    • @BrianR.-nu1sr
      @BrianR.-nu1sr 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @GrayJacketWasp I think we have the basis for starting an entirely different video that could be titled something like, "States That Do Not Deserve To Be Separate".
      For example, why are their TWO Dakotas? Almost nobody lives in either one of them. And Wyoming is home to more cattle than humans.

    • @BrianR.-nu1sr
      @BrianR.-nu1sr 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @GrayJacketWasp - Alaska could become part of the state of Washington. With such a low gene pool to draw from, they tend to elect insane/corrupt/inept politicians. The more recent ones that come to mind are Don "Bridges to Nowhere" Young, Ted "Internet Tubes" Stevens, and, of course, Sarah "Word Salad" Palin.

      Plus, Old Timers in Iowa oddly seem to be packing, w/o regard for registering...and they're more likely to be praised for drawing a gun than cited.
      Who was it? U.S. Rep. Boswell that thwarted a burglary/robbery via shotgun & at nearly 80 years old. My wife used to work in the same building his out of session home office was in - I'd walk by his truck in the parking lot, East Village of Des Moines, & he'd have a damn mounted shotgun in plain sight...
      Hell, if it's real bad; just go straight to a sporting goods store - they'll set you up with an M4 Assault Rifle with a short FBI background check phone call... As a native of New York who's lived in Vermont for almost 25 years, I certainly can't argue with the state's lack of diversity in its population -- It IS the second-whitest state in the U.S. (after Maine). It's also the second-SMALLEST state in the U.S. in population (after Wyoming) and the most rural state in the Northeast. On the other hand, Vermont is a true anomaly in that, as rural as it is, Vermont is far from being a conservative red state -- Quite the contrary, it's the most politically and socially liberal state in the country -- the direct and lasting legacy of the so-called "hippie invasion" of Vermont in the '70s. Even Republicans here are considerably to the left of the national party. They HAVE to be, in order to get elected.
