  • The TGV (Train de Grande Vitesse) is a French high-speed train system that opened in 1981. One of the first routes where the TGV was implemented was between Paris and Lyon, which became the high-speed train line busiest in Europe.
The Paris-Lyon line is one of the main rail routes in France and connects the French capital with the third largest city in the country. The line is around 427 km long and is covered by the TGV in around 2 hours, with an average speed of 214 km/h.
TGV trains offer high quality services, with air conditioning, electrical outlets, comfortable seats and a bar and snack car. There are different passenger classes available, from economy class to first class.
The Paris-Lyon line is very popular with locals and tourists traveling for business or pleasure. It directly connects France's two most important cities, allowing for fast and convenient travel, and offers great views of the French countryside en route.
In addition to the Paris-Lyon line, the TGV also serves many other routes in France and neighboring countries, making it one of the most efficient and comfortable ways to travel in Europe.
