What a great money-making unit. You find some good ones that wouldn't work for your average reseller but work for you because of your store.

I’m a mental health provider. About 12 years ago I worked in a nursing home. One day, I was upstairs while the residents were getting their nails done. The Activities Assistant had her cart with her stuff on it, and I decided to put my bag of chips on the cart as I had to meet with a resident. Low and behold, the elderly lady diagnosed with Kleptomania took my chips. 😂When I asked her to please give them back she said she would but we had to fight for them as she wheeled towards me in her wheelchair. Needless to say, she was so small and fragile. I waited until she started talking to her friend as she put them on the side of her wheelchair in her carrying bag. I went over to ask for them back and she yelled at me and followed me to the nurses station 😂😂. I just walked away
What are you to do but walk away!

I chuckled as you talked about the Water Treatment plant stinking. If a plant is in good working order and has competent operators running the plant you should not be able to smell it. Our local plant rarely stinks and they are very careful about it. When they expanded the plant in 2012 they had to assure the neighbors that there would be no more than 7 days per year that a smell would"d be present. That plant runs 3 million gallons per day on the average with peak days being around 9 million gallons per day.
That's interesting I did not know that. The last time I went down to that facility it did not stink at all and I was wondering if they had changed the system or something. Maybe they just got it running correctly now.
Good price for the locker, a lot of smalls. They will add up though.

Can't see when you are looking in totes on the edge of the truck, unless you pick up the item or pull it down lower on the ramp. The little square cast iron pans are cute. Be kind to each other. Stay safe. Love to all

Holy Yeti, Batman! Love 'em but nobody needs that MANY. On the bright side, for you, he stole practical stuff. What was with the scotch tape, though...? The ring color is off, it's fake. Pure gold isn't that yellow. NICE pen. Lots of knives, flashlights, multitools. How do you shoplift AMMO? Yeah, you lucked out for $130. Cool.

06:30 Spices can be expensive, my husband uses many different kinds when cooking and they can give you sticker shock. I would put them in your dollar dig area even if opened, like perfume, sometimes there are ones that are difficult to find.

dont say silverware, say flatware. If it's made of wood, it is not silverware. anything used to hold or serve from a bowl shape is called holloware....salad bowl, gravy boat, soup bowl, punch bowl....all holloware. yeah, i'm a word guy. but good on you for knowing other terms most get wrong.
There are so many terms for everything and people use so many different terms for the same thing. I try but it gets hard to know what to call everything that comes out of the boxes. Thank you for the tips though and for watching.

I will go from store to store around the world and ask them if they are missing any of the items that I found in the unit. If they are missing that item then I will give it to them and apologize that a person I have never met stole it from them and even though I paid for it in a legal court ordered sale I will also apologize the I have their stolen merchandise. I will spend the rest of my life trying to return random items with no receipts to businesses I have no idea if they came from there or if they were paid for or not. I'm sure the employees at Walmart will be able to identify if a particular travel mug was stolen from their store a year ago to help me on my journey of returning hundreds of items from a storage unit that may or may not have been stolen from some store somewhere in the world. Now I am off to begin the rest of my lifes work.
@@RedDirtResale Sarcasm aside, most people would notify authorities as soon as they are aware of purchasing possibly stolen goods- to let them do the leg work you so breathlessly outlined above. I understand, based on your response to rickygibson, this is of no interest to you; after all you bought the items fair and square.
So, how much did this unit end up costing in total, all in? Did you rent a truck? Garbage disposal? Thank you.
The unit cost $130. $15 buyers premium. Truck plus gas $100. Trash was just some small stuff we threw away in our dumpster so probably about $25. So about $270 in cost directly related to the unit.

pretty sure you called this guy a thief but to me he looks like he had a company where he printed on knives, bottles cups, etc. And all this stuff was to show people his work and what he could print on.
plus some of his personal stuff.
The court documents were in the unit proving he was a thief along with the papers from his therapist where he details how he began stealing when he was a teenager. It was in writing in detail about many of the times he stole stuff and how he could not stop. There were many books on having kleptomania in the unit. It wasn't me assuming it was a fact. The original owner of the unit called himself a thief.

We are assuming some of it may be stolen. We have no proof for sure that any of those items are stolen or where they would be stolen from. We have a receipt of purchase from a legal auction making it our property to do what we want with.
