I was wearing a red sweater dress with a full circle skirt, it really emphasized my little waist about 24_inches. I'm a little bitty gal, 5'1", 105 pounds. It was as if we were alone dancing. He's gone now, and I am alone with my memories. I remember him every time I hear Chris Deburgh sing anything. Thanks for the reminder!

Saw him on Friday night at the Retro Festival in Lucerne. As the band started the first beats of drums of Africa the people went literally beserk, inclusive me! What a great band and a great performer! I didn't expect such a high quality when I bought the tickets. Well... quality never goes out of style!
In high school I got the getaway and man on the line loved both those albums. But the later is almost impossible to find in music stores today. Use to have some of the songs from the getaway memorized back then. TY Chris de burgh for some great music. Love this remake of Africa too

Absolutely loved Chris' performance of this song when I saw him live in St. John's Newfoundland recently. Did a pretty terrific job of ABBA's S.O.S. as well. Chris still has an amazing voice. Last saw him in the 80's Man on the Line Tour.

Had the opportunity to see Chris de Burgh live last year but didn't have the cash. Now I'm really bummed, I doubt I'll ever get the opportunity to see him live again.

Mr. de Burgh is a fantastic singer. His orchestra is amazing. For me, it's no question which version is better. It depends from note to note or from second to second. Not important. We all have the luck that we are able to hear and to recognize good music. Most younger people are too stupid for this.
