    Loved this comparison. The Fireball is the winner for sure. 🖤🔥

      @gerdhery yeah, I was thinking the fireball for death metal, and the ironball for 80s metal.

    I tried the Engl 20 watt Steve Morse and I guess it just didn’t do it for me. 😢 I then exchanged and got the Fireball 25. I love it. First time playing I set the knobs to noon and it was already good. 🔥🤘🎸

    Hmmm interesting... I set my Ironball SE completely different to get that "shake the floor" kind of bass.
    Try gain at 03:00, bass at 02:00, mid as low as 09:00, high at 03:30, presence to taste (typically above 12:00) - all o'clock references.
    Keep Lead Master as low as possible - mine runs at 09:00 or 10:00 o'clock - and the Master volume as loud as you need - this makes the amp to breath, especially the highs and lows.
    And, most important thing: turn that gain boost off! To my ears, it boosts mid-frequencies and cuts tooooooooooooooo much of the bass. Perfect for solos, not for the chugga chugga stuff - at least for me...

      @@NoUseForYTHandle Interesting settings, I'll give it a try. But I like them where I had set it and do not like tooo much Bass going on...and I like mids 😜

    Fireball 25 wins clearly. Such a beast. As said Ironball has way more options, but sounds not as bally.

    Nice video 🤘ironball sounds darker and rounder. Fireball is more clear and chunky. I like the midrange thing and general sound of ironball. I bought fireball 60 a couple of weeks ago but doesn't find time to try it. Both 25 and 60 has 2x6l6gc but there are two times difference in wattage. I couldn't figure it. But 60 watt version is very big comparing to those two.

    I just got the IronBall SE and bought a generic 2 button footswitch. Is the Midi footswitch worth getting ?

    • @gerdhery
      @gerdhery  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@BLSdarrin Well, with Midi you can do a whole bunch if switching at the same time with just one click and safe it as a Preset. With the "2 button footswitch" you can't even switch everything.
      So short answer: Yes, it is worth it 😉
