    Wow, imagine how much time and money that notebook will save as well as frustration. “We just want the customers to be happy”, what another simple but priceless attitude, I am so impressed. SERVICE AFTER THE SALE, in the rv industry, Wow, what a concept!. I love our Jayco 263 RBS but it’s a little tongue heavy, too long, and heavy for my 1/2 ton, thanks

    I would love to win one. It’s a great safety item? You guys have a great channel, always shocked to see awesome channels that are small. Keep at it, thanks

    I love the attitude of these guys/company. Yes, Rockwood costs a little more, but not really more than a comparable Jayco, which is a quality unit. Also, price is a one time issue, but quality is a lifetime issue. I sure hope these plumbing changes correct the issues that haunt the rv industry and consumers. Way to go Rockwood, when did this change come about?

      Apparently they've been working on it more lately after our little Facebook Group really got vocal about it.
      So here's a thing in the RV industry - they look at warranty claims as a measure of quality. But things like plumbing leaks and blown tires tend to just get fixed by the owners without filing a warranty claim so there's no real message back to the mother ship on these items.
      In addition to the better plumbing connections they also now support the fresh water holding tank so you can travel with water. Another thing brought about by our little Facebook Group of 12,000 or so owners. It's a great sounding board for real-world experience.

    Stu at Bish’s said their technicians love Rockwood because when they check the unit in, they get an hour of time, but the Rockwoods come in virtually flawless so go right through. Other campers have warranty claims at check in. Then they have to handle a camper several times just to get it ready to sell.

      When Tony worked at the RV dealership this was pretty true of the Flagstaff brand, which is the same product under a different name. We have also found that they hold up well.

    When did they change the plumbing to all Pex? Any way to find out exactly the date and which campers have updated plumbing Pex and upgraded washers? Thanks

    • @StressLessCamping
      @StressLessCamping  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Our understanding is the 2025 models have the updated plumbing fittings.

    I just talked to Bish’s and they said the Rockwood company has the same sales rep that has been there 40 years. I’m looking intently at this brand 2205S. It’s a smaller company that seems to realize quality wins out in the end, every single time. If you don’t believe me, look at the Toyota story and rise to the top, and the opposite of American car companies falling apart, putting out junk.

    Did I hear them say WE HAVE GONE TO ALL PEX PLUMBING? That is a huge deal if they did. How can I find out when and what models they updated to all Pex, not a combination of Pex and flex on a Pex fitting that will eventually leak? Thanks

      @StressLessCamping  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are still flexible lines between the water pump and the system per code. What I'm impressed with is that they have changed seals/gaskets within the system to better reduce leaks.

    We notice the 2025 rockwood 5th wheels. They are now using CURT Slipper Roller Sprung Axles with ABS Brakes. Could not find any reviews on the change. Were there any discussions with Rockwood on why?

    • @StressLessCamping
      @StressLessCamping  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes! We had a long discussion with them and will post a video about this spring system in the near future. We're headed to Indiana to see it in action in late September.
      Basically what they told us was that the torsion axle was a great system BUT to accommodate a heavy fifth wheel it had to be pretty stiff. That worked fine if the 5th wheel was loaded closer to max capacity but, when they were lightly loaded, it was still pretty stiff.
      Supposedly the slipper spring set-up, which is new from Lippert and is something they've been working on for a while, offers better absorption over a wider range of weights and also has no real friction points.

      @@StressLessCamping That is a good one! I really like the 2515S, which is almost a flip of the one you are looking into. I too would be working from the road. What I would love to know is if that dinette can be completely removed from the 2515S. As in, is anything being kept under those seats that would need to be housed still. I've never been a fan of dinettes and would put a table and a chair in that spot instead. I haven't been able to find an answer to this question anywhere.

      I’m looking at the 2205S. I love my Jayco 263 RBS but been struggling to tow it and relax. I added air bags, that helped a lot, but still just not comfy towing it. The 2205 is about 900lbs less and between 150-200 pounds less tongue weight which is where I believe the challenge is?
