The 61st Royal Variety Performance Filmed from the Victoria Palace Theatre on 19th November 1991 by LWT. Many, many stars in the cast including Diana Ross, Elaine Paige, Wayne Sleep and Les Dawson. (Full cast at playlist above)
This show was attended by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and was in aid of the EABF (Entertainment Artists Benevolent Fund).
The complete half hour Musical medley features scenes from "My Fair Lady" , Roy Hudd in "Oliver", Lea Salonga and Simon Bowman singing "Last Night of the World" from "Miss Saigon", Elaine Paige singing "Memories" whilst Aeva May and Rosemary Ford sing "Macavity" from "Cats", Michael Ball and Claire Moore "All I Ask of You" from "Phantom of the Opera", Patti Lupone with "I Dreamed a Dream" from "Les Miserables"and "One more day" also from "Les Mis" with Colm Wilkinson, Michael Ball, Frances Ruffell, Barry James, Sue Jane Tanner and just about everyone in it!
This medley was put together for the end of the show as a tribute to Mr. Producer; the incredibly talented Cameron Mackintosh.
