Hii just wanted to say I’m working on this pattern currently and noticed the mistake from the beginning (for anyone wondering why the stitch count is off) when you go to do the first row, chain 2 and then hdc into the 3rd loop from the hook. This way your stitch count will remain at that x2 number. Hope this helps. :)
Yes exactly! Except the fch is an uneven number. For example, Belina has 84 ch then adds one and skips 2 st from the hook. Now it’s only 83 ch. It’s obvious that it doesn’t add up with the rows which require to skip one in between so that she later has to “cheat” one more st in. So for the people who are using this tutorial make sure to either have an uneven number for the fch, then ch one more and skip 2. Or have an even number then add TWO and skip 2 st from the hook (recommended like @jae.444 said)!
Would I CONTINIE TO chain 2 at the beginning of a new row before I HDC or would it just be that I chain 2 on the first row?
@@mayaalexander1571 I am a beginner, but as far as I can tell you should always be chaining 2 at the beginning of a row of hdc (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)
who else keeps missing count of their switch, go back to recount only to lose count again, and repeat multiple times but keep losing count, so just give up and keep crocheting to let jesus take the wheel cause its too late to restart lol lmao

Beautiful pattern, I made a few minor changes to mine and used a worsted weight (4) cotton with size 5mm hook. Worked across 84 stitches, for a bit larger size. I changed a few rows for my personal preference, some back loop only rows for a bit of added texture. Overall, a great pattern.

As high as the stitch you are doing . From 1-3 depending on the stitch, a tripple crochet is tall so 3

in row 9 do you need to make the hdc in the big loops only like with a skip stich and ch 1 cuz idk if i need to do it in every single stich or like a mesh skip stitch HELP ME
I put 2 HDCs into each big loop and didn't chain one when going to the next big loop if that's what you mean
What kind of yarn did you use for all of that? I’m a beginner and don’t know anything about crochet so please help me to find a suitable yarn online. I want to knit almost the same
Any kind will probably be fine. Different yarns have different durability and breathability. I'm using mostly acrylic yarn (which is more durable and also just what they had in my local fabric and yarn shop) with some cotton yarn on a few rows because cotton is more breathable than acrylic so it will hopefully not be too warm to wear. If you want the same see through type of yarn that she is using on some rows, then you would need mohair (or a mohair substitute if you're vegan)

I am so confused with row 17, is it mesh or not? Because reffering to the previous double crochet (row 8) it's a mesh. But I just did the mesh a lot!
It is a mesh but you can change it if you prefer the way it looks without the mesh

When starting row 2 where does the 1st Hdc go? It looks like she goes into the second hdc but when I do that it decreases stitch count. Then in the 4th row she crochets into the second stitch.
I chained up 2 at the beginning of the row, then went into the second stitch and my stitch count stayed the same
