Either City treble, United treble, or Chelsea 04\05 the Arsenal invincible is the most overrated team in history(AC Milan, Juventus and Bayer Leverkusen this season could very well end up Invincible) So Invincible seasons aren`t special nor are their all that rare. if you wanna argue that the PL is the best league in the world, fair that is true in the modern day, but it wasn`t when Arsenal where Invincible. the iconic argument is weird, because it`s purely based on nostalgia, obviously United`s 99 team, or the Invinicble team will benefit from having players who are now considered icons of the league in their teams. But like i don`t want it to happen, but if the current Arsenal team wins the CL, then that is more significant then the Invincible team as it`s a feat the Invincible team never managed and they would be doing it in the current day, but like Rice or Saliba or something wouldn`t be considered icons of football if they won one CL with Arsenal.
@thetruth4654 Your argument has a few holes. 1. How many teams have been unbeaten vs. how many teams have done the treble? In the top 5 leagues, more teams have done the treble, so technically, being invincible is more special based on stats, not feelings, even if Leverkusen join them this season. 2. An argument can be made that the Premier league from 2002-2009 was the best league in the world alongside Serie A. While Serie A had Milan and Inter, the Prem had United, Chelsea, Arsenal all fighting it out and making deep runs in the Champions league. So, the Invincibles shouldn't be discredited there. 3. Arsenal winning the Champions League this year would be as significant as the Invincibles (coming from an Arsenal fan) since it's the first, but this team won't be considered better than the Invincibles. Why? That's easy. Do you consider Chelsea's 2021 Champions league winning team better than the Invincibles or Man City's Centurions? Or do you consider Real Madrid 22 CL winning side better than Jose's 100-point Madrid team. Team success is one thing, but football isn't just stats. We watch it ourselves and see the stuff that stats don't show. Ask a Madrid fan, which side they would say was better Jose's vs 22 they would laugh and say Jose's no hesitation because they were just better. The personnel was better, they played better football etc. Same with the Invincibles If I had to make a combined squad of Arsenal today(assuming the win the CL) vs the Invincibles, the Invincible would dominate no questions asked. So, back to your original point of which Prem team is the best, it's more than just the points total and trophy haul. Thr treble City winning side didn't play in a strong European Cup. Madrid was the only decent side they beat. PL wasn't as good with Liverpool crumbling, hell, they even lost to Brentford TWICE. All I'm saying is that it's not clear cut, and the Invincibles deserve to be up there in the discussion as the best team the Prem ever saw.
The greatest PL team of all time is the City team of 18/19. (The season after they did the centurions) That team won all 3 domestic Cups and won the league with 98 points. They lost in the CL vs Spurs due to VAR ruling out a sterling last minute goal in the CL. That team had 2 XI's that could genuinely win the league, ive never seen anything like it. Ederson Cancelo Stones Laporte Zinchenko David Silva Fernandinho KDB Foden Aguero Sterling Steffan Walker Kompany Otamendi Mendy Gundogan Delph Bernardo Silva Mahrez Gabriel Jesus Leroy Sane
Yes, this is the best City team and arguably the best team in PL history. They had too much depth and too many ways of hurting the opposition. Control, x factor, elite quality and depth, and everybody at their arguable best, all in this team. Also, its kinda funny that nobody mentions 07/08 United, who are also very high on the best PL teams list. I think the teams shouldn't just be judged on trophies, because it doesn't always reflect on quality, and its a boring conversation anyway. 18/19 City team is way more scary than the treble winning City team, despite not winning the Champions League.
@@AravindNair-gq7fj Couldn't have said it better. For me the 07/08 team is superior to the United treble winning team. Not as big of an achievement, but there were a much better team. City Formidables 18/19 Liverpool 18/19 United 07/08 Arsenal Invincibles Chelsea 04/05

@@AravindNair-gq7fj I think you're talking about 19/20. Which is really underrated, and they were phenomenal. And I agree that trophies shouldn't be the only measure to judge these teams. Them missing out narrowly vs Spurs shouldn't exclude them from this list.
The way how they are downplaying and trivializing City's treble, you would never think it was only done once in 25 years since Man Utd's. And Turkish's idea that Utd's one is better because they had more trouble facing teams is silly because you are basically holding city's superiority against them. City's team that won the 3 domestic cups and won the league with 98 points in 18/19 season was better than the Centurions. I hear the argument about the City team that won 3 domestic cups, but we know the wider public (besides City fans) would only acknowledge the treble-winning team and centurions due to the weight of their achievement. Liverpool were also what, two games away from winning the quadruple two seasons ago? Got 99 points to win the league one season, and also lost one game the entire season and got 97 points I believe? They were close to topping THREE of these iconic teams. Almost got more points than the Centurions, almost topped the Treble winning sides, and almost went invincible with more points than the Arsenal side. The only thing separating them is the word "almost". Just like how they lost the league twice by one point, these achievements were only JUST out of reach. I have been watching football for more than 15-20 years. Obviously, as Flex told at the end trophies count but in the year 2021-22 for any English club in the year they can play a possible 63 games. Liverpool played all 63 games winning the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, reaching the Champions League final with 14 times Champions League winner playing their best game till now in finals losing 1-0 and just losing by 1 point to the Premier League champions Manchester City (Stronger both financially and squad value). This is as close as the English team had ever reached so as a Liverpool fan that was my golden time but the result of those games, the 2022-23 season an injury-hit, fatigued, aging midfield and did not even qualify for Champions League 23/24 since 2015-16.

United in 1999 won the league with 79 points and won the CL because a certain Bayern player was too stupid to hit the ball out of his team's box properly. Last season's City side would annihilated that United team. Don't be silly!
City has two of the most dominant and entertaining epl sides winning every single domestic trophy and yet they aren't even considered?? These people just sit and conspire to take city out of these discussions time and time again
All those City teams are nothing without the 115 charges…. And if they are soooooo great, then what is Liverpool? They finished twice only 1 point behind them. One goal changes history and we all know everyone would still shit on Liverpool and not rank them high.

I’m a Man Utd fan… but the slander on Liverpools 19/20 is an embarrassment. Rory always bangs on about “European silverware” when arguing with Arsenal fans about who the biggest club in London is, and yet forgets Liverpool won 2 pieces of it that same season they also won a premier league title that was wrapped up by January. As for the 04/05 Chelsea team and 19/20 Liverpool team… Liverpool won 1 more trophy BECAUSE OF EUROPEAN SUCCESS. Liverpool had more wins more points more goals scored, and won it in a record amount of time. People don’t pay money to watch Chelsea keep clean sheets all the time. They pay money to be entertained, and Liverpool were far more entertaining in their title winning campaign than Chelsea EVER were. Rory just talks pish, and makes himself sound more and more sillier each and every single time.
This whole conversation was waste of time tbh. The way you guys discredited City's achievements, it's ridiculous. City did the treble on the back of 3 peat. Invincibles in ucl compaign. Beaten mighty bayern, humiliated Real madrid who are the kings of this competition. Defeated united in FA cup final to rewrite this greatest achievement in prem history. And you guys are talking that conceding few goals and being invincibles means more. Absolutely horrific take.
I hate how teams have to have a novel achievement to be in this conversation. I'd say the Man City 18/19 was better than the treble and the Utd 07/08 double team was better than the treble winners
It think all this guys did was just try to ignore that man city won the league with 100points, won the all domestic trophies in another season but of course it doesn't matter because its city

Who is the greatest team in Premier League history? Tell us in the comments!
Leicester premier league no doubt about it
Centurions
Either City treble, United treble, or Chelsea 04\05
the Arsenal invincible is the most overrated team in history(AC Milan, Juventus and Bayer Leverkusen this season could very well end up Invincible) So Invincible seasons aren`t special nor are their all that rare.
if you wanna argue that the PL is the best league in the world, fair that is true in the modern day, but it wasn`t when Arsenal where Invincible.
the iconic argument is weird, because it`s purely based on nostalgia, obviously United`s 99 team, or the Invinicble team will benefit from having players who are now considered icons of the league in their teams.
Leicester aside it’s the invincibles
Same with the Invincibles
If I had to make a combined squad of Arsenal today(assuming the win the CL) vs the Invincibles, the Invincible would dominate no questions asked.
(The season after they did the centurions)
That team won all 3 domestic Cups and won the league with 98 points.
They lost in the CL vs Spurs due to VAR ruling out a sterling last minute goal in the CL.

Done in the ERA of «the greatest team of all time» and beat Barcelona and messi 4-0 at Anfield. For me will always be number one
The real list:
1.utd treble
2.City treble
3.Mourihno Chelsea
4.Invincibles
5.Liverpool
Invincibles second
Liverpool were the most dominate should be top
That conversation is too difficult for rivals. They have too much bias to accept that those Liverpool and Man city sides are the greatest English teams of all time. They'll say this era is weak. The greatest era in terms tactics is the weakest era btw. We Liverpool fans will always know@@bri1085
@@Gunnerman49. arsenal 2004 could of won the treble which would of been better
lol
Madness putting Invincible about Chelsea above a treble 😂 Arsenal fans holding this invincibles too high! Yeah, it’s not been done since but the level of football in the league is harder… the fact they throw 6 teams out each year as potential title contenders… they won the prem that’s it!
Have to love the Chelsea, Arsenal and United fans in these reminiscing about the good old days of their favorite era of when they were actually relevant and claiming that was peak English football while simultaneously limiting every discussion to "in the premier league era" to make themselves more relevant.😂
As an Arsenal fan Liverpool winning the league was massive because it been so long. For a massive legendary club to win after 30 years is huge. The pressure was huge.
Still last on the list but dont downplay it
The United treble side was the best English side. What they overcame against absolute quality opposition was insane. The European sides they had to beat in the champions league was sick
No it wasn’t city turned their treble into a quintuple in a single calendar year there’s levels to this
1. City Treble
2. United 2008
3. City Centurions
4. Invincibles
5. Chelsea Mourinho
How are The Centurions not on this list?
For me:
1 - Chelsea
2 - Arsenal
3 - City
4 - United
5 - Liverpool
Although I think that Liverpool side beats everyone of those teams in a one off game.
Could argue United 08 is better than 99.
Could argue City Centurians better than their treble.
Could argue Arsenal double winners 98 better than Invincibles.
And Could argue Liverpool 18/19 better than 19/20.
liverpool had something mental like 138 out of 140 points, no other team did that
I really like this show bc it’s not too much banter and they actually use logic
Liverpool 2019-2024
3 UCL Finals
3 PL title races till last Matchday
1 Europa Final
Multiple Domestic cup finals
21/22 season- 2 goals away from a Quadruple
Massively disrespected
I would actually pick Man Utd 07-08 team. Entertaining and full of talent
United treble the greatest team in English football no doubt about that invincibles is a very good achievement also Chelsea's 15 goal Liverpool 19/20 was also one the great team very quick counter attacks with the atmosphere they have got it was electric before the lockdown city's treble is just a tainted one
Honestly, Its Man City number. I mean it has to be. We had everything: Size, technical ability, Tactical fluidity, squad depth... we had the best defence in Europe and the best attack in Europe. We could come from behind in games too but we hardly needed to because we dominated every game in the run in. We should be number 1 because we simply were the best at everything
Jose's Chelsea was honestly better than the Invincibles no doubt about it.
Arsenal played better football
Park the bus negative football. Yeah, I'd pay money to see that 😂
If, and only IF they had went unbeaten, they would’ve been better than The Invincibles
City and Liverpool are one and two because they got the most points 100 for City and 99 for Liverpool. Invincibles means nothing and Mourinhos Chelsea team means nothing, the only thing that matters is how much you dominated the league and that’s based on how many points each team gets at the end of a season.
That’s just not true tho😂
Facts bro. Like what excuse do they have except their opinion of this being the weakest era? Just wait and see. You'll hear them say the current era (the greatest era in terms of knowledge and tactics btw) is the weakest era. Those Liverpool and Man city teams annihilate any previous English teams. Arsenal ain't going invincible with the centurions in the league
@@samkelorashuza5949 as an Arsenal fan fax honestly
The only game Chelsea lost in the 04/05 season was a 1-0 defeat against City. And that was a penalty.
You guys got confused between ranking the quality of the teams, and ranking the esteem in which you hold the landmark achievement of each team. Those aren't the same thing.
Winning a treble when you are expected to actually arguably is more difficult because of all the pressure and expectations. And to do it while winning the toughest league where every point counts. Don’t discount pressure and expectations effect, look at what it did to Arsenal last season.
Well I'll say winning a treble while being dog shit from the start of the season (98) till December that year then everything clicks and you start playing good is great achievement while facing some tough teams
United’s treble in 99 is the greatest. The most trophies. Yes they did not go Invincibles but maybe that is because they had to balance Europe with the League?. 3 Trophies > 1
2️⃣ Teams have done the treble, how many went 49 Unbeaten 🏆?
Paul’s opinion on football makes me sick
Funny this channel isn’t it? They are having this conversation without a City who would argue that there are 3 great City sides with a one league Liverpool fan. THE CENTURIONS & FOURMIDABLES WOULD RUN RINGS ON ANY TEAM ON THIS LIST
they could run ring on any team except European giants. You cant be a local champ and claim you are a great side. The others are both local champs and European champs. In other words, Fourmidables and centurions did a great job in proving they cant run rings on European giants, but local Huddersfield and Watford.
The centurions might be the greatest English team of all time but they already lost to Liverpool tho. They did run riot at the Etihad not saying you are wrong but even that great team lost at Anfield
@@samkelorashuza5949City’s treble winners lost at Anfield. United’s 08 team lost to City twice. None of that is relevant
@@benedictadeya8370sure, they didn’t win the CL those years. Did the Arsenal, Chelsea, or Liverpool teams discussed win the CL?
@@Sproles11 sure they didnt. And thats why I said in my other post that UTD and City treble winners and Man UTD 08 are the top 3 in any conversation. If they want a top5.. they can select the other two from the rest based on other arguments. Invincibles is a must have given the fact that they didnt lose to no one. The remaining one spot should go to either. Y'all can decide whats more impressive between 100 points (Centurions), 15 goals conceded with 95 points (Chelsea)..99 points with one game lost (Liverpool) or domestic quadruple (City)
So because City made it look inevitable, that makes them a worse side?
Surely that makes them the better side…
The fact that the Liverpool team that finished second behind city is better than the Liverpool side that won the league brings that down to the bottom of the list.(atleast in my opinion)
It’s always good to remember that the invincibles actually lost more games in all comps in that season than Man Utd did in the treble season. They also couldn’t back it up and retain the league
It’s always good to remember that 2️⃣ teams have done the treble, whilst only one 1️⃣ team has gone 49 Games Undefeated 🏆
@@tris87don16 49 games unbeaten yet couldn’t defend their title, and as I said lost more games that season than Man Utd’s treble team. Man Utd won the treble then won the league again and again. Arsenal won 1 trophy then couldn’t back it up

I think LFC don't get enough credit with budget they had to build that squad. All the other teams on that list bought World Class players to win their leagues, where Klopps LFC had average players that turned into great players.
Rory is such an 90s Prem encyclopedia.
He can have some shit takes, but he knows EVERYTHING from the 90s premier league😂
Wtf🤣🤣🤣”who did city beat and their games won’t be remembered” they literally annihilated the defending champions of the champions league. They destroyed and caught up to arsenal who were certain of winning. The fucking beat their local rivals in the fa cup in 13 SECONDS!! Stop the hate and accept they are the best
As I was watching, I said the same too. The only thing memorable in City treble is embarrassing Madrid at Etihad. Other than that, I cant even recall the final. Arsenal was certain of winning, what??🤣🤣🤣Nobody was buying that Arsenal would win EPL. A team of kids with no names and man city rejects and a manager with no resume. Regardless of how much gap was there, nobody was buying Arsenal would win the league. There were literally memes everywhere mocking their lead. Team hasnt won the prem in 20 years and yet you claim they were certain to win it. Where did the certainity come from? About man utd, which 13 seconds are you talking about? Didnt Gundogan score the winner in the 50th minute against the worst Man utd team? Part of the reason some people don't rate City's success is the lack of opposition. its not the same team mate. the Balon DOR contender in the treble winning team was never there in the domestic treble or centurion or the 4 titles in a row.
@@benedictadeya8370 You’re saying it won’t count as City winning 4 in a row because some of their players have changed over the 4 year period?
….you slow?
@@TP-pq9xx I dont even get your stand here. The entire discussion is about legendary teams in specific single seasons. For example, they were talking of Man UTD treble winning team in 1998/99 season only. What they did before or after doesnt really count in this argument or rankings. My point is that, somebody cant bring the argument of 4 -peat which is won in 4 different seasons in this discussion. Winning a 4-peat definitely counts for Man City as a club..but doesnt count for the treble-winning team..some of the players like Haaland werent there entirely for the 4-peat. Simple..you slow?
Devil's advocate: The rest of the teams should have become the invincibles too. ......

Who scored the most?
Who conceded the least?
Who had the more points?

2. CITY FOURMIDABLES
3. CITY CENTURIONS
4. UTD TREBLE
5. INVINCEABLES
United in 1999 won the league with 79 points and won the CL because a certain Bayern player was too stupid to hit the ball out of his team's box properly. Last season's City side would annihilated that United team. Don't be silly!

These people just sit and conspire to take city out of these discussions time and time again
Liverpool team clear. Won 103 of 105 points across across a season and a half
All those City teams are nothing without the 115 charges…. And if they are soooooo great, then what is Liverpool? They finished twice only 1 point behind them. One goal changes history and we all know everyone would still shit on Liverpool and not rank them high.
lost a europa league final but got top 4, lost a ucl final finish in top 4, won a ucl and 1 point off, win the prem. legendary run, 1 step further every season.
