I asked the composer, LouisF in a Reddit AMA if this was the first iteration of the soundtrack and this is what he said: "So that's the actual last delivery that I gave Local Thunk; among the clear guidelines that he had for the track, was that he wanted to slow down what I composed. This is, if recall correctly, because he did slow down a theme that I had uploaded to youtube (I no longer have it there or in any other platform, I think, but I'm planning to reupload it again) and liked it, so he asked me for something similar that he could slow down to achieve something alike. I'll expand on this on the video I'll make about the production process in case you're interested!"
I was trying to play along on my guitar to the version released by Louis on youtube and noticed it's detuned and makes it impossible to play with. Playing along with the game open was not an issue, I was confused. Then I found this and realized that the game version is just this, but played back at -30 percent speed. I think when Louis released his version on TH-cam after the game released, he only had the original version of what he delivered and so he tried to match what was released with the game, and that's why there is a difference in pitch between the game and the youtube version of the song.
Well, I didn't speed it up, this is how it originally sounded. It also sounds more different, I don't know, but it certainly isn't the exact same. This is the oldest version of the soundtrack, since it was uploaded 1 year ago in Localthunk's fiverr review for the composer before the game initally fully came out. So I would say Localthunk worked with the composer more to make it slower and have different variations, but as far as we know, this is the first version of the soundtrack and it does sound different, I just don't know how to point it out

This is the first version before the bpm was slowed and alternate versions were made
