never thought about the parallels between the two but now i can totally see it -- esp with how often Semonza breaks tackles that he has no business getting out of
Max, I just subbed. Been watching your vids for a month bc they keep getting recommended to me and I really love the way you talk through the games. I always find myself popping on an episode before i go to bed. Cheers, Keep it up!
If there is one thing I learned playing this game, you WILL have your toughest games against teams that are worse than you on paper. You can beat a team 8 ovr higher than you, but the game turns teams 3 ovr under you play like the best team ever created.
yeah im with ya. i mean a 99 ovr team is certainly better than an 80 ovr team, but on heisman, i feel like the gap is much smaller and much more dependent on how the user plays
I love your videos, man! Keep up the great work. Just a quick reminder-this game has adaptive AI. As you progress through the weeks, the AI learns your tendencies and will do everything it can to exploit them on both offense and defense. Also, don’t forget the computer has its own tendencies too. You can usually pick up on them within the first quarter.
thanks for the kind words!!! also yeah, gotta show more variety on D -- i kinda want to run a whole game with the only rule being 'never run the same defense twice in a row'
Bro I swear you get the craziest animations lol that one pick you threw the guy reached thru the wr and then the fg return you gotta be holding up on the screen flip haha
One note about finding four stars with no offers - look at guys who are listed as having 1-2 offers, I often find guys there who don't actually have offers even tho they are listed as having them on the selection screen.
ahhhhhhhhh -- one thing i noticed there was that the one offer sometimes can come from a locked out school. so like the recruit is in their top 5 but the num 8 school had the one offer. i will look more into it if we get some spare hours!
With the AI, you cant play 1 concept defensively for a formation.. if you play that cover 6 with man on the weak side.. you need a changeup or 2 because they will just eventually have/make play calls for that defensive call..
100% agree. feels like if you run tampa 2 multiple times in a row, they INSTANTLY call four verts. i kinda want to run a whole game with the only rule being 'never run the same defense twice in a row'
@maxplayscfb yeah, game has taught me what defensive coverages setup other defensive calls.. i run a lot man press, so i get a lot of flood plays.. taught me to run cover 9.. the cpu adjusts to 9, leads to zone blitz with cvr 3 behind it.. it becomes a fun chess match
I was bummed you didn’t take the field goal on the first drive but was proud of the decision making in the red zone at 14:04, you called and actually ran the ball 3 straight times then took the field goal. I know it didn’t work out (personally think it’s because you were trying to run East/West) but as the coach I feel you made the best decision to win the game by running & kicking on 4th in that situation.
I also pull an extra blocker on punt returns like 16:09 but if you pull them too far back (too close to or behind where the ball is going to land) their logic gets broken cause they act like a returner like you saw. Pull them about 20 yards back then once the kick is in the air switch off the player so the AI takes them through the process of a blocker (it will run back then turn around to block).
@@maxplayscfb don’t get down. Still can definitely win the MAC this year and potentially get a good bowl. I definitely feel your pain on some of the “bugs” in the game. Turnovers and going for it on 4th in your own half killed you this game. I’d encourage you play a bit more conservative finding success in 4-5 yard gains. The big plays will continue to come, you definitely get them and have the playmakers for it.
Max dont worry about people critizing your game claiming you're just bad, they do it so they feel like they're actually decent at this game... They feel like they're the best in the game cause they hide behind keyboards
Yeah the first time you dropped a hate comment I was like “ah that’s funny, oh well” but now it’s like - why even come back? Do you actually spend time watching videos you don’t enjoy? That doesn’t seem very productive.
In my head cannon, Semonza gave a speech at the post game press conference rivaling Tim Tebow’s after his loss. 😂

Its all about match ups too. Like i blow out certain teams every season and struggle with others just because of they schemes they run

No worries, Max! We got your back through the ups and downs. You’ll bounce back.
Joey 5 star leading in tackles!
day 1 difference maker, so cool to see

yeah that 5 yard hitch in hindsight really was just bad luck, i think the timing and placement was decent
Have you considered a video on composure the game doesn’t really tell exactly who it works
i have not considered it but i really should give it some thought bc i have NO idea how it works either

This happens to me as well. I think my team is good cause of the OVR but it’s inflated cause I’ve cut all the really bad players.
interesting, i never considered that
That pitch return was a killer
INSTANT 10+ point swing

ahhhh smart
yeah i think yall are right, we gotta lean on our defense more -- especially when we keep them in reasonable situations

3rd Quarter possessions: Option pitch for 6. Int. TO on Downs inside your own 30.
That was less than desirable.
yup, that option pick 6 killed my momentum and made me really start playing badly. i gotta stay more cool headed after a play doesnt go our way
Setback will make the comeback even more grand. Playoffs start next week, keep winning and see what happens!
Very entertaining third quarter!
entertaining but mainly for the Miami fans LMAO i blew it in the third
Hey, at least the pressure is off you to go perfect in conference play right? 😅
LOL hey that's a good point!
That sequence after the pick starting from the 3 yard line was rough
yup, 3 straight horrible run plays. in hindsight i wish i showed goal line heavy and then did a toss to davis
@ I struggle to score inside the 5 too. I usually try two jet passes maybe 3.

ahahaha i appreciate it, although to be fair there were a couple HORRIBLEEEEE choices today
i trust the process
TRUST THE PROCESS!!!
I was so ready for a college football playoff push 💔
Can’t give up hope justttt yet
13:05 just your average MAC QB throwing a 68 yard bomb
jeez louise youre right, that almost looked like a kickoff in terms of how long the ball was in the air for
39:57 This is how i feel Everytime i play Heisman difficulty 🤕
LMAO heisman really is a humbling level of difficulty
21:21 That's all I'm gonna say.
WORST part of the entire game, totally shifted everything
Deadass annoying how mid ball state is in year 3. Do better in rebuilding bro this is ďūmb. I rebuild bad teams on heisman and by year 3 we are ranked
What is the value of this comment? Go make your own content that no one will watch, stop tearing people down.
Go away no one wants this attitude here

@@maxplayscfb I originally did enjoy content but is it that wrong of me to suggest u do a better job rebuilding?
Let's be real, you're not rebuilding any teams on Heisman, stay on that varsity and stop commenting 🤡
