  • The 'Cuda has an Accurate LTD exhaust system that mimics the original setup but the muffler is a little too quiet for me, so I installed a Borla straight-through muffler in hopes the sound would be a little more pleasing. I like the new setup. Now I just need a lumpy cam...

I love your lift as well! Thank you for posting your other video on the lift itself. You’re the only person online that’s has one. I was just was given the same one. Did you bolt yours down to the concrete?

Thanks, I still really like it too. I did bolt it down with a couple 1/2" concrete anchors per platform. It didn't move before I anchored it but I just wanted there to be no doubt it would stay put.

I'd love to talk to you about your lift. Can we arrange that some how?

It's a Hydra-Lift that I purchased used 5 years ago. Here's a link to a video I did of it, if you haven't run across it yet: th-cam.com/video/yDN2ZzJ7juM/w-d-xo.html
Hydra-Lift was located in Canada but is no longer in the car lift business as far as I know but if you do an internet search you can find some info on the lifts. Not sure how to get you my contact info.

@@redxl883c HI John, thanks for the reply. I just got a used lift that didn't come with a power unit. My lift is a 9k lift with two cylinders per side. What power unit did you use? And the bar at the back of yours. That works out pretty good with no issues? Plumbing my lines will be the biggest issue. I take it that you you put a T in-line with the supply and returns?

@@jeffreygwinn5081 My lift came with a power unit and all the plumbing lines so I didn't have to guess at anything. It uses a single hydraulic line from the power unit which then tee's to each of the two cylinders. There is no separate return line, and the platforms come down by gravity. The power unit stands vertical and has a reservoir at the bottom, then a pump sitting on top of the reservoir, then the motor (2hp, 230v Leeson) mounted on top of the pump. A button powers the motor on to raise the platforms and a separate valve is used to lower the platforms. The yellow leveling bar also came with the lift and is necessary for both platforms to raise/lower in unison. It works well. Three 1/2" bolts hold the bar to each platform.
