1) He trained females as well. "Pritilata" could be mentioned here for her courageous work.
2)All revolutionaries who were sent to A & N island (Kala Pani punishment) returned after 1946 and became communist leaders of Bengal.
Last troop departed from Andaman and Nicobar island (kaal pani) was in 1938

Surya Sen, a teacher of mathematics, was not a mere freedom fighter, he was a big organizer. He hoisted flag on Indian soil or Chattagram or Chittagong , Now in Bangladesh, much before Subhash Chandra Bose in Imphal. Chattagram armoury attack has enormous historical importance. We are taught wrong history in schools. But nowadays due to the era of internet the real history cannot be suppressed. Share this video.

Surya Sen is one of those visionary freedom fighters who has been deliberately ignored by the school textbooks but his sacrifice is beyond measure. My grandfather's own uncle was one of the revolutionary who participated in Chittagong Armoury Raid and when arrested, he was sent to Cellular Jail; lucky to survive and be released after independence. But many of his co-workers suffered worse , not to forget how Masterda himself was racked with the most inhumane of tortures before his execution.

On this film many things are shown which is Wrong.... Kalpana Dutta Never Fall in Love With Masterda and Pritilata devi also never ever Fall in love with anyone.... Director Adutosh Gowariker played With History of Such a Great Man That's Why the Film Goes Flop
Lot of mistakes were found in the film you mentioned. Eg. - Kalpana was never a love interest of Surjya Sen as shown in the film.
