The thing about Trivecta's music is that since Evaporate, it's just had this higher standard of quality than many other songs I've heard, especially on Monstercat. The sense of atmosphere and attention to detail stands out strikingly and gives his music so much more potency. I read the backstory to this song on Roniit's Instagram and I feel that Sam's the best producer for this. The Varien influence (which really rubbed off on this one!) helps build the "dark" and "gothic" atmosphere, but at the same time, his music doesn't delve so deep into the supernatural that the lyrics stop becoming personal and relatable. Varien likes to write songs about really mythical and mysterious themes, which is cool, but Trivecta finds a balance between the enchanting sound and grounded, personal songwriting which perfectly captures the tone and concept of Roniit's music in general, let alone for a track that means so much to her. Great video too, I love the music videos that actually contain the content depicted in the cover art. Those red hands were on point even though I imagine that must have been a bit awkward to film.
