Yes you can . january is best time to witness snowfall in kashmir. But expect some delays in transport services. Chances are dal lake will be frozen at that time. But shikara ride is still possible between 12-4 pm. But Some people wont select this time. Because of low temperature and most of the landscapes being white out. It depends on ur taste. Sir, is there local bus service from Srinagar to Gulmarg, if yes from where can i board the bus, I am travelling to gulmarg from srinagar on 15th Feb24
There is direct from Srinagar to gulmarg. You first need to go to batmaloo. Then take bus to tangmarg and from tangmarg take shared taxi to gulmarg. But there is lot of waiting and changing which may take 4-5 hrs to reach gulmarg. Better to hire a budget taxi or a basic tour package to avoid this discomfort. Contact us on 8178168058 for help

Yes ofcourse. From gulmarg parking to gulmarg gondola station the distance is around 900 meters. That is a bit down hill so less tiring. Coming back to parking will be a bit uphill but can be easily covered by walk. You should only consider hiring a pony or car if you are with an aged person.
