My son and girlfriend live on Wimbledon Hill Rd and last time I was there we had brunch at The Ivy - it’s a lovely place to live. Thank you for showing Wimbledon Village ❤

love Wimbledon village, thank you for taking me back. I lived there for a short time about 20 years ago, right out of highschool. Some family friends had moved to London for a number of years because of the father's work assignment and they rented a house there. 17 Mansel Rd, right at the foot of the hill up to the village on the left. Beautiful house and despite being on the same road as Wimbledon Highschool, very quiet streetcorner. If you walk past the house it has - or had at the time - 5 small windows in the roof. The left 3 were one bedroom and the right 2 another, that was my temporary home up there back in the day. I still remember the house fondly and my time roaming around Wimbledons quaint streets.
Wimbledon village has such a lovely ambience,I loved going to the tennis in the 1970s, 80s and 90s. Rose and Crown was the local for Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood and drinking pal Jimmy White. Becker had an occasional pint in the Dog and Fox and Oliver Reed drank at the crooked Billet on the Common.
@@ToursbyFootLondonIt's just because I'm such a fan of George, He was such a great talent as well as philanthropist 😊 Love you're vlogs Lovely !! Always packed with information!!❤
I always think of the wombles when someone mentions Wimbledon common because it is my favorite childhood program and I really wanted to go there so I could meet them because I really believed they existed.
I was in Wimbledon Village last Summer, and yes, it was beautiful, but as I live in Germany now and only had cash with me, I was shocked that two of the cafés there didn‘t accept cash. Thanks for this lovely foot tour,
Loved the tour Sinead, I was lucky to que up in the park as number 5,134 & still managed to get the last ticket for No2 Court as well as watch my fav player ..how lucky was that! Try that next year...yeah I can imagine Novak going to the temple for meditation & visualisation before his matches ...thank you with blessings 🙏🤗🥰
This tour for the Wimbledon village was simply magnific. London always surprise me. Such beautiful places, with majestic homes. Really breathtaking watching this walking. Sinead I'm really without words. Thanks you. 🤩🤩👏👏👏👏👏👏
Inspired to make more use of the Village, sadly we're not rich enough to live at the top of the hill, and I can well see why you got the bus up. If you come up or down via the backstreets there's a load of magnificent houses that I never be able to afford, but it's nice to know some people are so lucky to live in them.

Hi, awesome live video tour I enjoyed it. How are you doing? I'm doing well. And so is my cat Benjamin. He'll be seven years old next month. It's great showing where you live. I heard it's a beautiful and historical village. My city in Mississauga. Ontario. Is alot of 21st-century buildings. Have a great day see you next video. Have you ever visited Mississauga, Ontario? I went to England a few times on vacation. Your history videos are always enjoyable. 😊
Beautiful video and narration as always. Is it only me or was the video strangely bright? Maybe it's just my monitor. Shame as the area has such glorious vivid colours.
The Village has changed a bit, modern shop fronts, so much for being a conservation area, since I was a Womble in the mid 70's, lived 8 minutes walk up the hill from Wimbledon Park Station, always made sure I was away from home during the Tennis as couldn't park the car outside the house (temporary no parking cones, the yellow perils out in force) my bedsit was in. The owners turned the drive and front garden into a temporary car park at £5 per car per day.
Thank you for this video Sinead. You seem to go really fast with the edits now. Wasn’t expecting that, thought something went wrong with the video. Take care 🙂❤️❤️🇨🇦
A) Sadly not, although there is a wooden Oronoco Womble bench! B) Of course you may say! We love to know what people think. We like to try new things every so often and sometimes they don't work so we appreciate the feedback :)
Not your usual high quality video. It felt rushed. You were whipping that camera around to the point that I felt sick and dizzy. So sad. It could have been really great.
Sinead, ty for showing Wimbledon and the monks paradise, so peaceful and quiet, love both, you are simply amazing my friend
Proposed to my girlfriend in the Wat Buddhapadipa temple, beautiful place, wonderful people, just a little bit of calm in a mad old world! 👍

Glad you liked it, Lorcan :)
Great tour! I had no idea about the temple as a native to Wimbledon :)
Glad we could share something new with you, Johnny!
This is beautiful and this is your home. Much better than Manchester, NH USA though Boston is actually lovely. Greater London is unique, special.
We would love to visit Boston one day, Tom!

We tried something a bit new on the editing side! Perhaps not as successful as we hoped :)
Happy 112k plus subs!
Watch out for Wombles
Always on the look out for
Two comments. a) is there a statue for the Wombles at Wimbledon Common? b) may I say I'm not impressed with the jump edits? I found it quite irksome.
