- Maritza Woël is a lifestyle blogger and a law student from the University of Ottawa.
She was born in Haiti to father of middle eastern descent and a black mother. When she was nine years old, she emigrated and established permanently in Ottawa.
Maritza’s journey as a blogger began when she decided to embrace her unique features and transition back to her curly hair after years of chemical treatments and flat ironing. Maritza chose to document her natural hair journey online and inspire other women of colour to love their natural curls and coils. She provides hair growth tips, product reviews and health tips. A strong advocate for self-love and an intersectional feminist, Maritza seeks to utilize her platform to encourage women to be the best version of themselves.
Maritza is also a fervent advocate for access to justice and has volunteered with various local organizations such as ACORN Ottawa, Refugee Hub and Pro Bono students Canada.
