Hi mate. Thanks for sharing this modification. Would you happen to know the part number for this bracket? I've had a little rummage around on Google but haven't been able to find it. Cheers.
Very interesting, thanks. However, I think that with a minimum of manual dexterity and a piece of 3 mm stainless steel rod this piece can be made by itself without any problems.
Thanks for the vid and info. This is a bit worrying. Is this part of a Royal Enfield recall? I've not heard from my dealer about this? Do you know if there have been any incidents of excessive wear or chaffing of the brake hose?
I did see a post on facebook about chaffing on a SM650, mine was fine but I've only done 900 miles. I first heard about this bracket on a Super Meteor FB page. My dealer had not heard of it so i rung a couple of dealers who told me that they had a bulletin from RE and they were in the process of contacting owners of the bikes they had sold. In the mean time my dealer found out about it, ordered the brackets and its now sorted. I'd contact your dealer.👍 I think things are slow with RE due to the transition away from MOTOGB.
@@Butlers_Bike_life Thanks for the update. I'll give my dealer a call. RE have really cocked-up with the transition from MotoGB to doing most things themselves. MotoGB had ironed-out all the problems in the supply and logisitics side of things and had everything running smoothly. Now RE are starting from scratch and making all the mistakes MotoGB had solved and learned from. I'll take years to get back to where things were before! Anyway, thanks again for the heads-up. Ride safe. 🙂
Asked my dealer. His reply:
I've never heard about it.
Love to get the partnumber from you. 😊
Great video ... Hard to see how this was not picked up during the product testing stage before the bike reached the market?
It is surprising, I would imagine once owners started clocking up the miles it got noticed. I am surprised there isn't a recall. Thanks for watching.
Typical, my local dealer (Poole Moto) hasn’t contacted me. I wonder if they will? Well done, thanks for the heads up.
Give them a ring, some dealers haven't had the Royal Enfield bulletins yet 👍Thanks for watching
Thanks for video, I am from India.. I have not seen anyone even talking about it..
Will check what my bike has...
Thanks for watching. Defiantly check and see if you need the new bracket. Safe riding
I’m from India as well and got my SM in Aug ‘23, just checked….its got a company fitted steel U bracket, which lets the cable have good play…
Its a simple fix but gives plenty of free play....Thanks for watching from India, hope your SM is going well. 👍@@AMReuben73
How about re-using the original bolt to plug up the original threaded hole.
Thats a good idea, I will do that, many thanks. Thanks for watching

I haven't sorry, my dealer had a bag of them but no part No's on them. If you go to a dealer will be able to get one for you.

That's a fair point and would do the same job. Got mine for free and gave the pipe the freedom to move. Thanks for watching,👍
