[ Experiment 1.07] Compacted and aerated powders
The pebble bounces on the surface of the compacted powder which behaves like a solid. The pebble drops into the aerated powder which behaves like a liquid. The difference between the two powders is the proportion of air between the grains. The less air there is between the grains, the more solid the powder will be. The more air there is between the grains, the more liquid the powder will be.
