The way this Canucks management team managed to already add Lankinen and Brannstrom to address needs early in the season, gives me confidence of them doing a good job navigating the latest crisis. The problem with trading Hoglander for a defenceman right now is that the Canucks have done a bad job this season marketing him for the purposes of shopping him around and would be lucky to get the equivalent of a 4th round draft pick for him. Even if he was playing well, you'd need to add a lot more to get a top four defenceman.
Let’s call it a month. My vote for Huggies partner is Juulsen only because he can kinda fill the Tanev roll on the opposite side but Myers is the most likely.
We are in bad position. If we dont make a move and he is out for 6 weeks we may not be a playoff team but we haven’t seen how good this team is yet. Anyone trading with us holds the cards. We cant give up our top prospects. I would try and pick-up Ethan Bear. He seems to have succeeded in recovery. He is playing well at the AHL and he is playing well with Hughes. The Caps don't need him or want him atm.
Wow this is the most depressed I've ever seen. Lol. It'll be OK, Hughes, Petey, Miller, Hronek, Demko are all around next year. They are well managed, it'll be OK
Tocchet is Travis Green 2.0. He’s too focused on positional play and a passive zone coverage which is sinking this team and why they’ve played so poorly!
Yes and no. Tocchets shut down hockey is the reason they had success. Tocchet trying to open up the system for more rush chances like the elite teams has shown the weakness of the defence, especially considering they built the bottom 4 with big guys and very minimal puck moving. Eventually they’re going to need to open it up but in order to do that they need another Hronek level D man which is hard to obtain unfortunately
@@rickross9170 defense is a team game - the Canuck forwards don’t understand how to back check - that’s on Tocchet. They don’t catch the puck carrier or pick up / eliminate players away from the puck which leaves their defense stranded! That’s why they have no transition game - the forwards don’t compete for lose pucks and they spend too much time in their own end. Without great goaltending his “structure” would be nothing and they would already be in the NHL basement!
Every team goes through injuries and must adapt on the fly...

As long as we make the playoffs who cares where we finish as long as we secure a spot and not panicking at the end of the season

Clark outstanding. No doubt.

What is it about Hoglander's performance that just isn't meeting Tochett's expectations?
Didn’t hronek have a shoulder injury in the past when we traded for him?
same one
He has had a good stretch without injuries.

Right now is not important. Relax and think.
What do the Canucks do now?, look forward to next year.
Canucks have to wait till other teams know they have to rebuild. Then go for a trade.
Teams attack Myers because they know he will blow it. He won’t hurt them with a good pass.
Silovs is not dead.
Unless Demko and Miller come back like YESTERDY and are in allstar form this team is screwed.

Get all the injuries out of the way now *copium*
Toast
Don’t play Demko. We don’t need him yet
Yes make sure he is ready it should be his decision
wasnt doing anything anyways......

You think Toch is the problem?
