Behind the mix:
I haven't published this video previously...
At that time I felt like the quality of the mix wasn't good enough. I filmed this mix right after I got fired from the tech job at a big company. I never thought something like that would happen to me.
It hit me hard, I was shocked, confused... but most of all - I was relived.
I used to love design when I was starting out in my previous career. Years back, when startups were becoming the 'next big thing'. I was greatly inspired by the progress that was happening in the tech industry. However, after a few years, design stopped bringing me the satisfaction I used to get from it, and I felt like I was burning out day after day...
I wasn't brave enough to believe I could change careers so drastically. I got stuck at the job I was starting to hate. I was trapped in video meetings and slow-paced developments, my body started saying: 'f u... I don't want to play this character anymore' and I was sliding into the downward spiral of depression.
I wasn't brave enough to take the leap of faith. The claws of the imposter syndrome had me hard, and I still struggle with openly posting my content sometimes. I hear the imperfections, I know my level... But with every step I take, I break through my own limitations, my own fears and this is how I'm able to grow.
But most importantly, everything I share comes from my heart.
I truly believe in the healing power of music.
So... may it heal your soul as it heals mine. ❤️

This was the second DJing video I recorded, but have not published until now (I explain as to why in the description).
There are quite a few rough transitions, but I liked the vibe of the video as it sincerely transmits what I was going through at that time.
As this mix is starting with DJ Boring ‘Winona’ track and a sample from an interview with Winona Ryder sharing a story about a harsh critique she received as a teenager, I wanted to dedicate this mix to everyone who’s been through the hell of being bullied, the pain of rejection and self-doubt.

As I'm watching this video I began to think "wow, this video is comparatively somber to the other videos, like she's contemplative, maybe even a bit down"... after reading your intro, which is very well spoken, the context now makes sense to me. Many people, including myself, have/had the same feelings you were going through. Push through those barriers, and keep growing as a person in the direction that feels the most natural. We'll all get there as long as we don't give up.

I'm so grateful you got out when you did! I'm very grateful this was your other dream and puts you in front of us also! I am also in IT and have been stuck in the grind for a few decades now, but find that contracting helps as you get to change your daily focus at least. It's also too late for me, my body has said FU at the top of its voice in the form of advanced MS or PPMS, so easy life is over, so I cling with my own claws to music and its healing nature! Even though this is tagged as a Lo-Fi mix, there is a Hi-Fi emotional undercurrent here indeed. I too work in tech, so I can relate. Typically the requirements come from non-tech people, but since they do not fully understand the tech, their demands are not in line with the reality of the effort at hand. It is their loss, and our inner wisdom grows from the experience. These tracks convey the emotional turbulence that comes with the terrotory when being pushed and pulled by people who know not what they say. Keep going and innovating in your own way, and never stop no matter what they think. Thank you for sharing this with us! 👍

Good grief, your discription reads like the job I have now with all those shortages (electronics), it's so depressing to not have what you need to make something the customer wants ... next week.
Do what I can and listen to music to get through the days + great colleges is a huge Plus.
Lucky I am also able to take overtime hours now too for free time.

Deep house has always been my favorite sub genre cause it hits deep in every way.
