I loved the older keynotes from Apple. They came across very real and genuine. Nowadays there is 13 different people speaking for every single service or thing. And it's only really a video and no real feel with the audience.
yeah its less fun nowadays. But then if you look at any other presentation from any other company, you realize just how professional Apple keeps it to this day. Look at Sony's latest when they introduced their car. You cant understand a word that guy is saying lmao. And the way they talk about the car is as if they didn't really love the project. Apple has a much different approach to presenting their products. Apple still has the best and most effective presentations of any company
Nobody seems to remember this but they tried to charge $9.99 for an iOS update for iPod touch back in the day I think it was around iOS 2 or something. Serious backlash pretty much put an end to them ever doing that again. There’s a keynote of it somewhere. Back in the good old days when you could install whatever downloaded version .IPSW you could find on the internet by holding shift before updating. Everyone just did that instead of paying.
He might be a good and charismatic narrator, but not necessarily a good CEO - these guys usually have much more responsibilities other than showing up at public presentation once in a year
I wish the newer in-person events would be this funny and clever. Some of my favourite parts were “How about that parallel programming joke,” “They had bought an Android phone… by mistake,” and “FREE (with limits)”
Really wish they bring live presentations back. They're so much more active and just simply better ! There's room for error sometimes, but that makes it even more comedic. The events now have great cinematography and are crafted really well, but they lack one thing, thats not being live :(
My favorite was this year, when he introduced some trivial feature that Apple never got around to but Android had for 10 years, and then he sarcastically said "what a time to be alive". I died.
The old keynotes are my favourites. Subtle funny roasts and humour. With the live reaction of the audience. Now it feels fake with all the pre made videos with loads of different speakers.
and the new one are heartless in a sense that there is simply no human touch in them. they are all perfectly crafterd almost like if it were done by an AI rendering the whole thing. Which is interesting because Apple is better at stability and simplicity; they rarely have MORE features than Android. Just remember: Android had widgnets LONNGGGG before iOS did 😂

Wow. I’m struck by how genuinely fun this was. The latest Keynote by comparison felt sterile and run through a dozen committees and approvals for every word.
If Apple won't do a live keynote this year, it's gonna feel like they're distancing themselves from their customers. Yeah pre recorded presentations are easier to control and they don't have to risk with the live reaction but come on, they need to do it this year.
That’s the stupidest ideas ever, lol Craig should be in them a lot of the time but Craig ain’t no ceo. Tim Cook should host all of the keynotes, in my opinions. For some weird reason if Apple does choose Craig to host all of the keynotes, at least they should make a specific role for that.
1:10 maybe that's because you can actually keep using your phone after the support has been dropped. Apple devices are obsolete, as soon as they aren't updated anymore
I loved the older keynotes from Apple. They came across very real and genuine. Nowadays there is 13 different people speaking for every single service or thing. And it's only really a video and no real feel with the audience.
Also it feels now like an hour long ad with no real world presentation

There is no audience except TH-cam
You can tell that all the people they have speaking now are to pander to people because of diversity
Well see if we come back to the live presentations now that covid has pretty much ended.
How can you not love Craig

all it takes is having eyes and ears

how can you love Craig, that is the real question
Especially that hair scene. You know what I’m talking about if you watch Apple events

Limited Freedom.
Craig has become the humorous heart of apple’s events and I’m all in for it

I hope the future demos include comedy like this! I didn't realize how entertaining they used to be

the "OS Weed" joke was wild 💀
Craig is the less evil version of Steve Jobs.
Agree.
I think Steve ain’t evil but Tim is
