Barry I must say that I've been enjoying so much your project. That is my dream boat . Perfect for fishing I'm sure there are very few people that would even think of starting a project like that from scratch I'm very impressed. Very good job Can't wait to see it in the water Take care
Ricardo you are my favorite viewer today! Unfortunately working with one's hands for pleasure has become kind of abnormal these days. Not that I was ever normal, but I have always felt the need to be working on something of fixing something. And how I am in my happy place. Thanks Barry
Good work old-timer. Very informative. You're a tinkerer like my old man and it looks like it helps. I love to watch it come together. I am learning a thing or two as well. I can't wait to see the finished product.
Barry, thank you for making these video’s, the T-Top turned out great. I think the idea of taken an old tired cabin cruiser and transform it into something useful. Thanks again
Arthur When I was making a living in the heavy construction business we used to say that the last 5% of the job used up 50% of the schedule. I hope that doesn't apply to boat renovations! Barry
I looking at my old formula 233 sitting hard for many years,at 65 I'm a wondering if I have it in me. Barry you have the dream almost done, enjoying the inspiration you have.
Coming along very nicely! Enjoying your videos, looking forward to the next one!! Any thoughts on what’s next after this project is finished? Maybe some fishing videos?
Mr Jordan, thank you. So many really good fishing videos out there I might have to shy away from that. There might be a chicken coop in the future. Barry
you inspired me to rebuild my dad searay. I am at the point im about to glass stringers in. I am curious what paint your using on the stuff like the stringers and deck
G.O. Kind words are always apricated! Your wife might not like me very much though. I have used various brands of epoxy because I get them for free. The stringers see no sun so anything that is compatible with your resin should be fine. The deck needs a quality paint of some sorts. Enjoy your build. Thanks again Barry
Great videos. Great work. Just came across these and it’s almost identical to my current project. Where did you buy your hatches? And are you happy w quality?
Thanks David! The hatches are DPI brand, sold on Ebay and other places. And kinda like I was expecting, nothing to brag about. Actually the one over the bait tank is going to need some sort of stiffener added, it is very limber. Barry
Thanks for the tip! If you a referring to sealing the cut edges of the hole in the deck then great minds think alike. It was done. Thanks for watching also! Barry
Well it has been a while but this is what I remember. I treated the bare aluminum with a product to pretreat aluminum, not a paint but I guess some sort of acid etch. Don't remember the brand but there are lots of similar products out there. Then primed with a two part primer from the auto paint store and finished coat with the same paint I painted the hull with. Again it was an auto paint. Sorry I don't have many details but the brand you use will most likely depend on the brands your local paint shop handles. And so far it has held up to a lot of non use.
Fantastic craftsmanship. Looking great!
Thanks Medic!
I apricate the positive comment.

It’s great to see when you run into a “roadblock” you quickly find a detour.
The white paint is definitely an improvement over the beige. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Wayne!
And thanks for watching and commenting, it means a lot.

If u did not silica/resin n seal off the inside of the cut out for the floor hatches you will be re doing your floor.

You are probably correct on the procedure but maybe a little late in your timing.
Thanks for watching!
