Conjuring Otters, from the words of Robert Macfarlane, the imagination and from ink

This is a trick I am trying to learn; how to bring an otter, out from the mind, onto paper, using the words of the otter spell by Robert Macfarlane from The Lost Words, published by Hamish Hamilton and illustrated by me.
So far all the 'practice' otters have been offered for sale to raise money for crowdfunders people have started around Britain to place a copy of the book, rich in language and image and filled with the focus on the nearby wild, into schools in Britain. These are not 'my crowdfunders', but I offer them my support because as a child my access to books was through libraries and through school. This changed my life and guided my life. Without books I would be another person, have lived another life.
The magic is in the years I have spent in conversation with paper. Still learning. And loving using a big brush and a quiet mind.
