Great vid! I’m considering moving here from Edmonton, Canada to study and hopefully work after. Your line about perspective is so true, growing up in Edmonton my whole life I love hearing Americans talk about how cold Worcester is when I’ve adapted to -40C winters up here and living in Worcester would be amazing for weather to me hahahaha

I came of age in Wormtown. Back in the 70's when you could smoke a doob while waiting for the bus in front of the courthouse.
There used to be a lot of industry in the town, big shops like Nortons, Parker and the little shops that did electroplating, made mattresses and the one man operations that did shoe repair and such. You could earn money in that town, rent an apartment in a three decker and share it with three others, .
Widoff's bakery, the best hard rolls (bulkies) in the world, Kelly square where 7 city streets and an interstate came together into what looked like a parking lot. GBV is once again supposedly a nice neighborhood.
A lot of manufactuing left, Iandoli's and Honey Farms are gone. Spags across the lake is gone.
Walking the train tracks on the south side of town finding stuff that had been illegally offloaded from rail cars.
Ponds that you wouldn't dare eat a fish from.
Winter parking, shoveling a space and putting a folding chair up.
I don't go back there much. Widoff's closed years ago and that was the last place I went.

Thank you for that new video. I love Worcester! If only Worcester had ocean and beaches, I would’ve moved there. From there, you can catch the purple line and get to the Coast because that’s the first stop from Western mass on the MBTA. I’ve seen a Woosox game and that stadium is beautiful! The art museum is wonderful, and the symphony is right next door. There’s parking Right there and it’s pretty safe! Wormtown Brewery is there and Table Talk pies and Polar seltzer are just some of the food companies that originated there. They have Hanover, and the DCU for their cultural arts venues, and I always make a stop at D’erricos food store for the best mortadella you can find. Even though it’s an hour away from Western mass. The Italian section there has Many terrific restaurants. Yes! The property values are amazingly high with beautiful homes that before that huge bump up in the real estate market just less than three minutes from WPI, great neighborhoods with houses that were $750,000 are rooted right there. And that was before the crazy wild real estate market. There’s ALWAYS something to do or see or go to in Worcester. Matt? You were Soo energetic, I don’t know HOW Tyler keeps a straight face. Maybe he doesn’t behind the camera. Lol.
Central Mass. is at the Center of it ALL ! (I just made that up!)

Realistically as someone who lived in Worcester his whole life there are no good jobs besides metal shops like sheet metal, welding ect.
Unless you wanna work in like a supermarket or something.
Most people who live in Worcester don't work in Worcester alot of us work in Boston

Born and bred in Worcester County Massachusetts and I would love to travel but my home sweet home is Worcester/ Leicester my childhood town. Another beautiful town in Worcester County, Leicester MA ❤❤
    I ❤the Woo
So many fun things to do right in the city. Parks Rich history, museums, hiking trails, fresh water beaches all over the city and the outskirts of the Woo. A good city to raise your family, imo. Very diverse and beautiful architecture in the old buildings. The churches and old buildings. The Victorian style Houses all over, the Ancient Cemeteries all iver MA. Purgatory Chasm Cascading Waters. Broadmeadow brook Nature Preserve. The Ecotarium The Art Museum…
I could go on and on about living in Worcester and Worcester County. I’ve seen a big difference in this city from the last 10 years. There’s still work to do but it’s coming along nicely. The public transport , city bus goes into surrounding towns of, Leicester, Oxford and, Southbridge even Webster and other towns. If you live in Worcester it’s 2 hours East to the Cape driving in a car and Two hours West to get to the Berkshire Mountains. Come to Worcester you won’t regret it. ❤ Go Woo Sox!!!

Born and raised and still here at 37 😫. It's not the best place for families. Only bar arcades, no more rollerskating rink, no amusement park, a few nice parks sure and lots of martial art studios but sooo many bars. High ass rents with more overpriced luxury condos and lofts popping up. No real family-centered vision, just focusing on the WooSox area development. Feels like they're trying to only cater to wealthy business folk. It's relatively safe but my husband did get hit with a brick while driving in a nice residential area from some punk teens in Grafton Hill so anything can happen.

    • @jonahpinx

An insult to Western Mass residents? Lets not forget Western Mass includes Holyoke, Springfield and North Adams the top 3 dirtiest and riskiest places to live in Massachusetts. Worcester is #4 there for making it an insult for anyone from Worcester to be compared to the low life criminals and shit in that area.
