Brilliant interview, recommended this to so many people. Absolutely loved Tony Grant as a player, he took me back to the 90s in this interview, great memories 😊
Finally, an interviewer who lets the subject talk without interrupting! Tony was a fine player, similar to Leon Osman in that had he been a yard quicker he would have been next level
Brilliant interview as usual, Baz. Such a good format these & you let the interviewee go in a way that’s rare these days. I was at Tony’s debut at QPR, a memorable one! Great to hear from Grantona, refreshingly modest & matter of fact! He obviously hasn’t seen Craig Pawson, Atwell & Oliver though if he thinks Indian refs are bad!
Much appreciated that comment Andrew 😊 Yes Granty was very underrated and he's very calm about the whole thing. Great stories and hopefully he is successful in his new venture too 👍
Once again quality!!!! Didn't recognise him at first !!!! I just member him being the spit of Rodney of only fool's and horses 😂 keep them coming Barry !!!
Great listening - watched TG loads of times for Everton reserves and there were couple of other lads at the time Peter Holcroft & Alex Smith who I felt had a great understanding of how each other played (like Baines & Pienaar) but it just never happened for them and I think they went to Swindon before dropping out of the game afaia.
4 lads from Liverpool were working on the train tracks down here in Lichfield, Staffs and renting a house here about 10-15yrs ago. Two of them were best pals with "Granty" and how he helped his mates out financially when they were stuck for a few quid but would only help you out again if you payed the first lot back. They had nothing but praise for him!
Haha tbh I hope he does come on 😂 Was a tremendous striker ! Haha but hoping to make the guests as varied as possible as I love hearing their stories 👍
Fascinating. Didn't know he was from Sparrow Hall. When I was a kid used to get the 19 across the road with me dad to the match. Great interview with Rodders
Who knew Tony Grant was so articulate? I honestly didn't and its been an absolute pleasure to listen to this. Answer Baz, hat off to you too mate because if you were not as articulate as Tony, this would have been an absolute fail. Well done mate.
Kept forgetting to watch this baz brilliant chat with tony great player could do with him today ! even at his age he would be better than most of them!
The same squad of players Leicester City had when they won the league under another coach would have finished 8th. The coach wins the league, players win cups.

As a red I’ve got to say loving these podcasts lad! Belter
Thank you mate 😊
Nice to hear a red being humble like it use to be.. thanks red man
Absolutely spot on with that. You're only ever one window away from being miles better. We just need the money, and the right recruiters..
Think a few clubs can change the course of their teams if they get the right players in but need that expertise in recruiting.
Once again quality!!!! Didn't recognise him at first !!!! I just member him being the spit of Rodney of only fool's and horses 😂 keep them coming Barry !!!
Hahaha 🤣 Cheers mate 👍
What an inspirational guy, one of the best interviews I’ve ever seen.
Cheers for the comment Wayne 👍

Fascinating. Didn't know he was from Sparrow Hall. When I was a kid used to get the 19 across the road with me dad to the match. Great interview with Rodders

Thanks Dave, more on the way 😃

Thanks mate 😊 Tony was brilliant and that's why i really enjoyed this conversation. 👍
That was supposed to say "and Baz" not answer. Sorry folks.
mate click on those 3 little dots to the right of your original comment and you can edit/fix it there👍
@@06skippy06 I can't on my phone mate. I just have to explain myself, but Baz is bigger than me anyway

Tony Grantona !! Great interview
Cheers mate 👍
What a brilliant interview
Thank you Colin 😃
Please do time stamps🙏
Jeff was the feller who would greet the coach. Still goes I think.
Haha boss 👍
Excellent! keep it up!
Thanks a lot Paul, much appreciated 👍
You are welcome. You always keep things on an even Keel, no matter what craziness is going on around Everton Football Club.@@MoreThanAGame_
The most surprising thing for me from this is that Tony was a midfielder, growing up I thought he played right-back for some reason
Ha yeah a quality midfielder, lovely passer of the ball.
The same squad of players Leicester City had when they won the league under another coach would have finished 8th. The coach wins the league, players win cups.
Played against Tony and Robbie by far the two best players in that age group couldn’t get near either top draw
Brilliant Steven 👍
Grantona 🔥 great listen baz
Tony Grant is still only 24 in my mind.
Haha why not? 😂
And we got Garner, Harrison & Beto😂
Whos the interviewer
Never got the credit he deserved Granty imo
Correct !
......”I was the Best footballer”......😂Wow!..”I was better than all the 16yr olds”.....🥴
he was though that's the truth he was quality
Tony Grants hair is darker now than 30 years ago, knock the hair dye off mate, its embarrassing
Only the same as going the Gym, getting your teeth done etc mate. Personal choice 👍
Johnny who played for four shallows...ur a dwarf. 😮 pack it in
