Happy birthday 🎉 I'm in early 50s but so grateful for breath in my lungs. 2yrs ago as a nurse I got covid, ended up in a coma, the drs told my family all attempts were futile and expect the worst. But God. 2months in a coma - couldn't walk talk move my hands legs etc so while life is limited now I'm thankful just to be alive. This year I got to see my eldest daughter graduate from university and my sister get married. I wrote a book called Hope in the Valley about God's miraculous intervention.
Value and appreciate each day each year and each decade - everyday is a blessing from God

A woman's grey hair is her crown of Glory! I never could stand devoting half a day to coloring my hair....and when I colored my hair, my skin tone never looked quite right. So I had to wear a ton of make up. One day I was thinking about what an amazing artist God is and that was when I wanted to look the way He designed me to look. When I decided to go grey, people were not really nice about it. The funny thing is that once I let it go grey I got many compliments every day!!

I’m 42.5 and I am enjoying my 40’s better than younger years. Yes, everything physically is changing, but my “I don’t give a crap about what people think about me” has been a wonderful surprise that arrived with my 40’s. I’m letting my gray hair arrive and my wrinkles are well earned. No trying to fight aging and look younger here.

I’m 63 years YOUNG & AGE is just a number, as long as we try to take good care of ourselves. 😜🤣😂😅
I feel like not putting too much thought about AGE and just LIVE our daily lives with the LORD, we can become CLASSY & REFINED, with our WISDOM!!!
    I LOVE… CROWN OF GLORY!!!👑
Thank you for your inspiration to stay close to JESUS!!!✝️🙏🕊️💜✝️

I agree! Stop looking in the mirror and just live. The more we love others the more age disappears. Live healthy inside and out. Worrying about age steals our joy. Live.

I'll be 60 in February. My husband and I have 14 now grown children, almost 19 to almost 39!!!!! I feel blessed to be almost 60 and not ashamed of my age. I have learned so much over the years and am blessed to be able to share with a younger mom child rearing, homeschooling, and growing spiritually. As for the gray, I only have a few! No bottle for me! Thanks so much for sharing!

You know, it's funny you bring all this up. My husband an i have been together for decades and we were JUST talking about this! I'm now 60, he's 58. I used to be so vain about coloring my hair and wearing makeup. I quit that about 10 years ago. Truthfully, i like and respect the woman i now see in the mirror far more (mostly because of Jesus, but partially because I've relaxed and i enjoy her more) I love my emerging gray! My "glory glitter." Tom calls them my "wisdom sprinkles." Tom's hair has gone from vikking red to snow white, and it's beautiful! Life is etched on our faces and bodies and we can both read the stories there! This is actually a beautiful season to me. I've decided to embrace it rather than fight it, regardless of what the world thinks.

In Nov, I turned 62. I’m happy and feel more fulfilled than ever. My beautiful silver, white, grey hair sparkles and I love it. I think it takes confidence to let our “crown of glory” shine. Some friends have suggested I go “blonde”, I say “no thanks, I’m happy with aging gracefully.” Great topic Heidi, Thank you.

I couldn't agree more that aging is a beautiful thing.....the grays, the wisdom, the love ,the gift of life! I am 46 and feel so blessed to grow old!
The world is so "selfie" focused that natural beauty is underappreciated and overlooked. I pray this video brings to attention to women all over the world, just how beautiful they are, just as they are.....gray,wrinkly and old!!!❤
Thank you Jesus for every precious day of my life!

I am 46 and feel the affects of aging, and am taking more supplements to help ease the differences I feel. However I am convinced we have to think young to keep our minds on a positive setting. Really thinking how great God is and how He cares and guides us. This helps so much.

I’m 55, and only many serious health problems cause my body to feel any older than I did in my 20’s. As long as we have God, our health, and people we love and who love us, age is a blessing.
We can celebrate each moment of each day and when as Christians we reach the end of life in earth, we will have Eternity in Heaven.
Life on earth followed by life in Eternity with God, a win-win situation all the way around.

My mother's silver hair was beautiful 👩🏻‍🦳 She dyed it from age 30 to 52. Then she decided to buzz it down to the roots and grow out her natural silvery white color. It made her look 10 years younger. It grew to just below the shoulders before her time here was done. She had a level of confidence I had never seen before. It brought out a whole different side to her personality. She had a shirt that said "Openly Grey" 😂 I hope to have grey hair one day too.

I'm 54 and I'd like to offer some advice to the younger ladies who watch your channel (based on the mistakes I've made)
👉What you fill your mind with is what you will believe is true. If you spend the majority of your time following influencers, watching movies, or consuming content that is filled with messages of "anti-aging", "staying youthful", "beating the aging process", you WILL start to believe that grey hair, wrinkles, sagging skin, etc is ugly and that aging = fading into the background.
👉If you devote a large portion of time to exercise/diet for the purpose of a "bikini bod" or a lot of time and money on anti-aging, you will miss ALL the great things that come with aging: growing in wisdom, long-term relationships, selflessness & helping others, maturing in peace & contentment.🇨🇦♥️

You are so right. So many people are weird about getting older, and I decided that I'm not going to do that. I find joy in each grey hair I find, even at 23. I'm glad to not be 21 and look forward to what God may bless us with in the future and not look back to focus on the blessing of past seasons instead focus on the current ones and ones to come. It's such a beautiful outlook on the gift of life.

Happy belated birthday! I decided to embrace my grays when I turned 35. I am now 48 and still mostly brown but I have an awesome stripe in the front that I can really play up when I want to.
I have an image of my older self that I embrace. I want to be the best grandma to by future grandkids. A gentle soul with a bit of sass. Confident to dress how I want - a bit eccentric at times. A godmother to women younger than me to pass on life lessons I have learned and how to live by faith.

I dyed my hair several days ago and though my husband likes it (he loves my natural) i am like 😬. Grays were popping up everywhere. My husband was loving it. I loved that he loved my grays.

I recently ran into a woman that I went to high school with.
She was always beautiful and she’s taken excellent care of herself. But she’s had plastic surgery now. She doesn’t look like her anymore. It’s so sad!
My husband and I turned 40 recently and we are taking better care of ourselves so that we can enjoy future retirement. We never intend of being sedentary.
We look forward to being able to play w our grandchildren someday… maybe even great grandchildren! (His grandparents are still alive and well and our kids are almost teenagers now!)

Totally! I see so many people that allow the cultural norms to define them. They allow the 'anti-aging' league to define who they are, they enable them by accepting their definition of what aging is. 'Looking' old is 'bad,' etc. There is more to life than 'looks.' And it is a double standard, where men look 'distinguished' with age and feel entitled to throw away last year's model for a new one that is 20 years younger and is seen as a pleasure enhancer. Society wants to shame women for aging but not men. I refuse to go along with that. I will never use anything to hide my age as if it is something to be ashamed of. Another thing is some women don't want to be old because they haven't 'lived' in a sense, haven't had their moment in the sun or whatever. Instead of being a go getter they just sit on the shelf and wait for someone else to bring it to them. When that doesn't happen and too much time has gone by, they slip into denial and get bitter and try to hang on to their youth by fang and claw, as if to buy time for it all.... but time moves on and waits for no one. They think they will have 90 years to do it all but they won't and many will never make it to half that age anyway. I know many who wanted to travel but were waiting for just the right situation to line up; someone to go with, a spouse or friend, the right work situation, etc. and even if they could have made it work, they made excuses and pushed it off thinking they could and would 'do it all later.' By the time later came, it was too late and they never did their bucket list. So that is just one bit of wisdom. We don't get today back. Tomorrow will not be the same as today. Live each stage of your life, you won't get it back, and any day can be our last. Then like you said, every 85 year old was once 18, but not every 18 year old will have the blessing of reaching 85! It is a blessing, we have lived a long life and enjoyed many things. Now we are old and wise. We know what matters in life. People would do well to listen to our advice. We reached that stage of our life and it is an accomplishment. We have many rungs of years behind us, have survived and succeeded in many things, faced much adversity, have experienced and seen a lot, good and bad. We are good teachers to the young now. We have arrived, and the white and gray hair is our crown of honor. We reached the point of 'I don't care what your opinion is, I live by my own,' and 'stand back, you're not the boss of me unless your name is Jesus!' (which is true at any age for a Christian). We reach that level and it shows. We are not willing to take anyone else's garbage, and we demand the respect we deserve. After all I've lived through (now in my 50's), my presence commands respect and the Bible supports that and I accept nothing less from people. So do not cheapen yourselves ladies, I see these older ladies in their 60's and up still trying to look like bar flies in mini skirts, tube tops, high heels, cheeta patterns with hot pink and black, hoola hoop earrings, and clownish make up with the fluffed up hair and there is just nothing more tacky... so don't do it! Do not stoop to that level of self degradation that there is something 'wrong' with you for getting old. Just the word 'old' has been turned into such a bad word that they have to come up with all these euphemisms to gloss over it. I am old. And proud of it. Period. "Thou shalt rise up before the hoary head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the Lord." Leviticus 19; 32 (note: "hoary" means gray haired.... lol) "The glory of young men is their strength,
And the honor of old men is their gray hair." Proverbs 20; 29 "Wisdom is with aged men,
With long life is understanding." Job 12; 12 "Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life." Proverbs 16; 31
