The Tata Hexa SUV will take on the Mahindra XUV 500 as well as the Toyota Innova Crysta. The car comes with a 2.2-litre diesel engine with 156bhp of power and 400Nm of torque. The aggressive front look and proper SUV like stance give it a very intimidating appeal. There's stylish projector headlamps, massive honeycomb mesh grille and bumper with skid plates. The all-black cabin as seen through the spy images looks every bit premium and sporty and hosts an extensive list of features. TATA vehicles are built to last, as i've too experience it's superb build quality. 5-6 yrs ago i've meet accident in national highway where my tata suv hit a massive size cement crater and after hitting it i thought my suv and me are simply thrashed but no, the vehicle long bonnet and massive steel takes all hurt and me and my family saved and we praise god and tata for providing such superb vehicle.that's why i'm going to buy hexa in future, it's superb in every sense.
second the service , they are massivley concentrating nowadays in customers, so i't now to us cooperate with them.

a great game changer for Indian market
Now, no doubt it is a big leap for TATA with the new HEXA. The vehicle looks very promising and upmarket. Given the fact that these 2 ton behemoths are generally good for highway drives at higher speeds apart from city driving of course. I am surprised that all these years for any of the bigger cars none of the Indian test reviews have performed a Moose Test. It is all the more important for these high off the ground cars. I feel that is a very important aspect of testing a SUV.
before I like xuv and crysta but now I change hexa very sexy suv also like safari strom pls push start button add in hexa this no 1 suv in india sureeeeee

*Tata Hexa is best car under 20 lacs. It offers great torque & engine displacement. Also it's material quality and comfortability is top notch. It also offers 4x4 capabilities. It's 100 times better than that ugly overrated Innova Crysta !!*

Tata is a very respected Business house, They trade with heart. Their quality can be questionable at times but not their effort. Cyrus departure does not augur well. At least this man in his tenure ensured Tatas produce some quality cars such as Tiaga, Zest and now Hexa also increasing the power thrust and torque of the New Storme was an apt stroke. Hope Tata sustains the vision on its motor sector at least and continue to do the good job

Hexa looks similar to aria but it is more refurbished, has more features, interior is nice. Hope tata will be able to gain profit in the mpv segment

Does hexa xta have hill descent,ascent, hydraulic brake assist, traction control, ESP built in it as the XT model has all these 4 safety features. Why these missing in top automatic model ???
Hi Ashish, great fan of your reviews, but this one felt cut short version, wat about the Automatic version, offroad abilities of this car? and with its third row of seats folded ain't it feel not to the floor complete for loading luggage? I'm sure you might have not got enough of bite on the car at Hyderabad..!! looking forward for an indetailed review. kindly consider Automatic variant too. thank you.

I've one question about the automatic version of Hexa. When we are descending from hill it's generally advised not to apply breaks to avoid it from overheating, mostly it is recommended to keep the car in either 1st or 2nd gear rather than keeping in neutral and applying brakes. Won't be this a problem in automatic gear version of Hexa? Will control the speed while descending automatically or I still have to keep on applying breaks?
Use Hill-descent control in such case, it will give you more control.
Good and informative review . Interesting to watch how this game plays out against the Jeep Compass. Btw, which highway was this tested on ? Very scenic!
hexa automatic ya manual. i have driven both but automatic i left it is leaving road grip on speed breaker and rough road vibration are felt in cabin but in manual i dont feel. is my observations correct. Help me to choose

Tata should thoroughly focus on making its entry through sporty elegant type of commercials and make an imprint into coustomers mind of feeling this product above all the competitors in the maket
Ashish - Does it have differential locks? Also, apart from the minor ergonomics flaws, the interior looks quite classy & exceptional from all the other tata cars as well as the same segment competitor cars.

Good review. Excellent product from TATA. More than the vehicle the road caught my attention. The road is so scenic that it reminds me of foreign location, have not seen such a stretch of road. (MH14 FS 6260) hence probably in Maharashtra. Where was it shoot?
