  • I needed a serene track for one of my d&d sessions, and Nectarium was perfect for it so I extended it. I hope you enjoy!

The one scene where this is played was enough to make me fall in love with half-life. Looking out and seeing the bright light on the other side of the massive cavern, and wondering what was beyond, gave me the feeling that I was truly part of the world, and that there was more going on than what freeman witnesses. More to those caves that what the player sees. I wish they expanded on it more.

The long ride up with the vort and the ominous glow on his face in the moments of darkness as he talks his lore to me, was pretty awesome. It felt like a moment of betrayal was about to happen, but it didn't. Felt like a knifes edge moment where you realise the vorts and the humans may... could... just be an alliance, not necessarily friends... Hah.

@@TheHumanBallsack Yeah I always loved the vibe of the Antlion cave. It's much more primal and natural compared to the predominantly industrial and synthetic look of Half-Life 2. I'm glad you enjoy the track!

    Se parece a suniji minecraft

@@Gentlebeing Hello stranger! I have taken to answering your question and have found an answer!
TL;DR: The person is saying that Nectarium sounds like Shuniji by C418, a composer who worked on Minecraft. This particular song was included in Minecraft 1.13
If you want to read on and see how I found out, please read ahead!
So I started with the original sentence in Google Translate. The language I got using the "Detect Language" option is Croatian. However, the English output gave me nothing, so I tried the "Did you mean:" option and got "Se pareće a suniji minečraft", which translated to "It's steaming and a sunnier mineraft". However, this did not make any sense, so I got rid of the diacritic over minecraft and got "It's steaming and sunning minecraft".
After this point, I felt like it was a dead-end trying to get a cohesive sentence from the original sentence since I did not any language besides English. So I started from scratch with the original sentence, searching each of the individual words on google and seeing the results.
The first word, "Se", meant "I know" in Spanish and "Itself" in French, indicating some kind of Romance language like Spanish, Romanian, Italian, etc.
The second word, "parece", meant "It seems" in both Romanian and Spanish, some kind of Romance language again.
The third word, "suniji", meant "Believer" and was of Native American, Indian, and Sanskrit origin. An outlier out of all the words so far.
Minecraft refers to the incredibly popular voxel sandbox game created by Markus Persson and now run by Mojang Studios.
From this, we could conclude that the sentence is in a Romance language-most likely Spanish-and that "suniji" and "minecraft" were both outliers from the sentence and could be of importance. Another detail I investigated alongside this was the profile and name of the user: "blank esthela romero"
The profile was completely empty and of no interest, so I immediately moved onto the name.
I started from start to finish, first off with "blank", it is an English word which is not usually used in names in any form so I ignored it.
The second word, "esthela", is of Spanish origin, meaning "star"
The third word, "romero", is also of Spanish orgin, meaning "pilgrim".
With the evidence I had gathered, I could confidently claim that the sentence is in Spanish. I put the original sentence into Google Translate one more time using Spanish instead of "Detect Language" and got "It looks like suniji minecraft". Now with the rest of the sentence translated and isolated, I could focus on the words suniji and minecraft in conjunction with each other.
So I copied "suniji minecraft" into Google search and the first result was a track called "Shuniji" by C418, a song included in the Aquatic Update of 1.13. The track was similar to Nectarium in that it sounded other-worldly and/or serene.
p.s. yes this was a supreme waste of time, but I had some fun, and you should have some fun too.
