It expands on what makes FH3's DLC good but adds some fresh air with the cross country events, added surface types and new track types. also, the game lets you take a C class MX5 to 245 MPH using the new air booster things, so it's full of light-hearted silliness too edit: also, an underrated thing is how SMOOTH all of the crazy spirals are. I have not driven a road yet that I've not at least liked a little due to the way it flows.

they go overboard with the cheesy voice acting, it's really bad. and let's be honest it's mostly adults playing racing games, we don't need an over excited Mexican guy yelling about how cool flying is every 2 minutes. I'm sick of all this SJW bs in my games.
the new intro is just stunning with the visuals but the tracks look very empty. If there was as many cars on the track with the player as horizon 3 it could have been the coolest intro yet

FH3 intro was 100% more accurate to the Hot Wheels universe to me. Roads on contruction, catchy song, a lot of other cool cars racing with you, fucking dinosaurs and a ring of fire to finish it off.
I actually miss the setting of FH3 a lot. Even the aussie commentary is great lol. Might have to get it again as it still looks great too. I miss the skyscrapers and just the island vibe.

I feel like the main way to improve FH5 hotwheels is to make the voice acting and lines more likes Horizon 1 2 and 3. Maybe in FH6 they'll finally bring back the more serious edge to things? I dunno, I might just be spewing nonsense and missing Warren.

FH3 still killing it today IMO with the HW expansion. Better more exciting intro, more NPC’s around, lots more boosters, and the map had a city which makes it a lot cooler. The graphics though and the fact that FH5 has the map directly below is really cool though so it does truly feel like you’re in the sky. FH3 wins for intro and FH5 wins for the map size and the variety of things you can see!
I remember when my parents got my siblings and I an Xbox series S for christmas and it came with like a code or something for the hot wheels track. It was AWESOME when we first played it. From that moment on, forza because our new favorite Xbox game! I personally like the FH3 hot wheels opening a little bit better than FH5

I kind of get what you're saying. FH3 Thrilltopia felt like a stunt park built in actual place, FH5 Floating Island feels more like assembly of theme parks. Because of that FH5 map feels smaller, even if it's almost certainly larger.

Fh5 is trying to make this map better and the gameplay than Fh3 and honestly...........It fails. Even thought FH5 map is bigger than the FH3 one. FH3 is more nostalgic and there are way more stuff to experience than in FH5. The only better thing in my opinion that is better than FH3 are ONLY the new cars. I got this game in 2020 only to find out that the HotWheels expansion was not available. So now I have Forza Horizon 3 but I can't play this. This Hot Wheels map was the biggest reason I wanted to buy this game.
1:37 I was watching someone play the DLC on an Xbox One X and the loading (which you cut out in post) for this bit is next to none. Seems like on the older consoles, all the loading is front-loaded wheras on PC (what I play on), there's at least 15-30 second of loading at this point.
Is there a trick to tuning for handling ISAD? I remember in FH3 HWs the cars would just slide out constantly. Looking back I realize maybe camber might have helped with grip.
Horizon 3's Hot Wheels DLC at least had regular roads along with the Hot Wheels tracks and you could explore every nook and cranny of the island, whereas this looks like it's almost exclusively Hot Wheels tracks. No city or offroading or anything like that. Now I'm even more sad I missed FH3's Hot Wheels DLC.
There is off-roading in FH5 Hotwheels. Plus theres more variety in the tracks pieces and offroad sections. But, I would still rather have FH3 Hotwheels.
I'm happy to report that the Hot Wheels expansion in FH5 have offroading zones and some offroad events. And FH3's Hot Wheels didn't had offroad events.

FH3 expansion relates to the real life much more, our toy tracks don't float in air. If you are not able to criticize without being biased, then don't do it at all. I miss the time when the Twin Mill was a true Hot Wheels legend... at the time of Forza Horizon 3 you had to manage the tuning not to exceed the S1 class, or, you left aside reason and homologation to transform it on an S2 class monster... now you either settle for a measly A class, or risk a S1 tuning without any steering control. In addition, the sound of the engine used to be music to the ears, giving that feeling of extreme power from the engines, which nowadays has been replaced by the sound of a generic v8, making it lose all the fun of driving this car.😔

I did not really tune much but reduce your camber. Horizon physics dont like big camber.

Haven't gotten to drive around much, but the Hyperloop in FH3 is better than anything I've found in FH5, sadly.
What is that? I agree with you barely any boosters in FH5’s map and barely any inverted tracks it’s so bad to me and stale but I’ll see as I continue to play it for longer.

FH5 Hot Wheels is obviously far superior but FH3 is better overall.
Man why the FUCK is there not a single skyscraper or highly populated area in horizon 5. Why does PGG think we enjoy driving around in the middle of nowhere 24/7?

Both of you prove that one can't please everyone and that the selection bias exists. I also wished we would have a very civilized urban city including some high-end buildings such as skyscrapers. FH3 expansion relates to the real life much more, our toy tracks don't float in air. If you are not able to criticize without being biased, then don't do it at all. Otherwise it will throw your credibility on the topic out of the window.

I miss the time when the Twin Mill was a true Hot Wheels legend... at the time of Forza Horizon 3 you had to manage the tuning not to exceed the S1 class, or, you left aside reason and homologation to transform it on an S2 class monster... now you either settle for a measly A class, or risk a S1 tuning without any steering control. In addition, the sound of the engine used to be music to the ears, giving that feeling of extreme power from the engines, which nowadays has been replaced by the sound of a generic v8, making it lose all the fun of driving this car.😔

Mheee... fh5 hot wheels has an intro because its a need to introduce the expansion i felt nothing in this intro and i felt nothing in FH5 intro,no magic Fh4 and fh3 hot wheels dlc gave me goosebumps i was shocked when i saw the hot wheels fh3 world i could not believe what i was seeing... fh5 has absolutly nothing new so far much less good surprises the hole thing fells like a dlc, even so i love the game but it just lacks the essence, the magic that used to come in forzas horizon.... too bad
I am sorry but forza horizon 3 hot wheels is still better then forza horizon 5s hot wheels because one thing the map details only people who has played forza 3 hot wheels knows what I am talking about from the city to the dinosaurs to the sketchy road parts that you could fail off of to open parts where you could see ocean. in my opinion the forza horizon 3s hot wheels dcl was and is the best forza horizon dcl ever it’s the only dcl to come back twice in the series 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️ which out of the two is your favorite? Come on man.. Why is there a big crosshair in the middle of the screen, obscuring the racetrack? Talk about bad design decision. And those annoying radio voices… Oh well, I guess we need voices to tell how awesome it all is..

Yes, u can turn off the crosshair. Tbh i don't even understand why would they add this in the center of the screen, like they could've just put it near the speedometer and it would've been fine.
@@mickeydicusar6064 Been watching a few videos of this. And to be honest it looks really boring. Getting in first place looks easy, and then you are just driving alone from there. Long stretches of road, no real challenging corners, slow turning vehicles.. I mean, put ANY DiRT video on, and you will see how sleepy this gameplay looks.. Just watching random 15 minutes of this, and I lost all interest in the game… Such a shame 😔 I wanted to like it, I just can’t
