Great video. Man for that price, I will definitely look into this pellet grill. The Pit Boss Titan you covered has more cooking space but this 1150 DX doesn’t look that bad, as far cooking space. For $650, I might have to sneak one of these onto the back patio. 😅
Thanks my man. Yeah the DX is definitely a great buy for all the features you get with it. The Titan is a good grill as well, but that price tag is hefty on it!
I have the 1100 and have used it alot. Great grill never a problem. Have had it for8 years (?) finally will need to replace burn pot. If you want a solid cooker that will give youyears of great meals get this
Looks like a good contender for my first smoker. But WHY IS THE CONTROLLER SO LOW TO THE GROUND!? I'll have to prone to change the temp. They need to go higher not lower ffs. Either way, Weber Searwood 600 days are numbered. This does everything it does and cheaper. They really nickel and dime with having to buy the extra attachable tables.
Hope it works out for you. As for the controller, I hadn't noticed it being lower than any of my other brand pellet smokers here. I'll have to check that out. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Yeah? I'll have to check that out. Most of the grills all seem to work the same. I have high dollar units as well as mid-grade units and they all seem to do a good job for what they do. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. I owned a Grilla Grills Silverbac on the comp cart as well. Cool little grill but it definitely is missing the searing capability. I still own their Kong ceramic grill. That one is a beast!
I had the predecessor to this. Nothing but problems. I hated it. 2 replacement controllers and it still never worked right. Save your money buy quality and only cry once.
@@pmaint1 Great smokers! I've owned two Yoders, the YS480 and the YS640. I currently own the 36" LSG as well. The LSG is a Yoder killer IMO. All of which are in a totally different class than the Pit Boss or any of these other mid-grade cookers. You can't even compare these as it is apples to oranges for sure. BUT, you are right! These cookers last a lifetime. I sold both of my Yoders to friends and they LOVE them!
Wow for $649 that's some nice versatile equipment. Is the metal of it good quality nice thick and heavy ? Thanks for sharing and I'm looking forward to seeing how good it cooks.👍🏾🫶🏾
@ tyannaist. NO! If you want thick quality steel you need to look at Yoder, Lonestar grills, Smokin Brothers.. Anything made in the USA. But you'll be spending a couple thousand dollars but will never have to replace it again.
@@TheDawgfathasBBQ These are disposable grills made of thin, cheap Chinese steel and will be in the dump in 4 years no matter how well you take care of them. The cheap steel can't handle the heat.

Love mine! Runs 3 or 4 days a week
Hey Alton. Great Looking Grill with some Very Nice Features. Also a Decent Price. Thank you for the Review!!! Take care and Stay Warm Brother.✌✌👍👍👍
Much appreciated there my man. Stay safe over there my man...
I’m saving up for an LSG!
I hear that! That is a SOLID grill. I love mine! Good luck to you and I hope you get it soon.

Those swivel casters sure are helpful! And the searing lever is a great feature.
Indeed!
Pit Boss Nation 😎 showing up
You know it! Thanks for watching and commenting my friend!
Looks like a solid unit.
Indeed it is. I've been impressed with it so far. Thanks for dropping in my man.

Nice unit. Searing capabilities is always a game changer but man I wasn’t expecting the ease of the takedown. Cleaning will be easy!
Yes sirrrrr. Very easy setup and cleanup is always a plus.
Nice run through, Alton👍😊
Appreciate you stopping by!
Looks like a great grill!
Having fun with it so far.
I see they fixed the left side air gap!! Near the temp probe.
I'll have to ask about that. Good observation.
I'm still surprised they're not throwing in a flame tamer.
What's the temperature range on this? What increments does it go up in?
180 - 500 in increments of 5. Sorry I didn't mention that in the video. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Still NO stainless steel deflector! 😮😢
Thank You as Always Dawgfatha! 🔥🫡 amazing video
So £1500 for UK
A lot of features for not a lot of money.
Exactly. Hopefully it is a unit that will last a long while.
Pay the extra and save the issues. Pellets grills are complex with many issues. Weber seems to have figured it out.

If you are going to spend money on a grill, don’t get a pit boss. They are junk. Get yourself a Grilla Grills Silverback. Amazing smoker/grills

My pit boss has been a workhorse for years. It was a great value
That's a pretty nice-looking grill
People just complain too much

Bummer to hear about your troubles. I'm hoping this new iteration is more robust.
Stick with the recteqs.
Hadn't tried those before. I had seen one YEARS ago, and it looked short and gimmicky to me. The newer models I've seen recently look a lot better.
Rust buckets. You'll be replacing it every 3 to 4 years.
Thanks for watching and sharing your opinion. What brand would you suggest?
@TheDawgfathasBBQ Lonestar grills,Yoda, Smokin Brothers. Big money but you'll never buy another one!

Hey you! This is a solid grill for the price. It's not going to be thick metal like the premium level grills, but it is well constructed.
