Also, in the late 90s up until the mid 2000s the Romanian economy was not doing very well as its transition period to capitalism was nearing its end. And there is also the geographical reason, Italy was and it is close enough to Romania to do a somewhat bearable car trip.

Può essere che se contiamo gli irregolari siano più Egiziani, Tunisini e Indiani. Considera che molte imprese Italiane e Tedesche hanno stabilimenti in entrambi i paesi. Nel nord Italia e in Toscana ci sono molti tedeschi. La cifra mi sembra verosimile, anzi, ho letto dei commenti in tedesco che affermano che si aspettavano ancora più tedeschi!
