    Oh I love Straight to Heaven!! I have Ursa, and appreciate its longevity and sillage, but Straight to Heaven is so elegant and much more wearable imo.

    King Blue is amazing. I only have a sample but it's impressed me quite a bit. The dry down is so addicting! The oud in the beginning is a little rough but after about an hr it becomes magical

    Nice choice for a topic, Justin ... 8 is not just different, but the infinity symbol ... way better then 10 😁

      TH-camrs do lists of 10 because it feeds the algorithm. More likely to see recommendations based on top 10 lists.

    I just bought Gucchi Guilty absolute as a blind buy, after the por Homme was discontinued I never found any scent I like fomr them, but when I saw a good price on absolute I decided it might be worth a try! Love your voice here on the channell, makes me remember a late night radio host back in Sweden playing slow jazz and such through the night.

    Cartier- Declaration Parfum....in my Top 10 for life. I am also a huge fan of Gucci Guilty Absolute.

    Cool idea, Justin. I think the problem with King Blue is that yes it's a very funky oud but the mistake people do it to sniff it too close on strip or skin. It does come off funky as heck. Once, I sprayed it on strip and left the room and came back in and I was blown away by tropical and citrus notes. Apparently the sillage is very pleasant but up close it's definitely skanky.

      100% that! I disliked it at first, because I put my nose close to the skin first time I sprayed it. Big mistake. The second time I tried it I sprayed and forgot about it for 20 minutes, before I smelled it. Loved it!

    Nice content , Justin ! King blue is very nice , but i would go for silver oud. Also very unique are Imitation Man Myths and Figment man (the latter is very artistic). Need to try Xerjoff Zefyro . Very unique is also Rodriguez Noir for him (not blue) that smells like wet concrete

    I had a really neat experience with Gucci Guilty Absolute. I sprayed it on a sample strip at Macy's and brought it home. Initially, I thought it was very interesting and definitely didn't dislike it. I set the strip on a counter in my house. Over the next few days, everytime I walked into that room, I picked up the scent cloud and loved it. By the third day, I knew I had to get a full bottle. Even though every single female I've encountered with it loathes the scent, I still adore GGA, and I look forward to wearing it in the winter each year.
    One fairly unique fragrance I own is Bvlgari Man in Black Essence. It's a lot less sweet than the OG Man in Black. It has a dry spiced cocoa accord, very natural-smelling. It smells unmistakable masculine and it works very well for dressed up evening occasions.

    The background beat is distracting. Otherwise, thanks for the list. I recently tried Dior Homme 2020 and surprisingly really liked it. Not as complex as the Parfum or the Intense, but more like a feel-good scent. Hope to see you talk about it more in the future.

    OK let's do this!
    1) Got a sample of King blue in my sentxplore box and I enjoy it. The dry down like a lot of Amouage's is where its captivating.
    2) Straight to Haven, I not only have it but have Tiziana Terenzi's Ursa which as you said is a stronger version of that DNA. It totally has a unique smell. Here I am ok with it but just like Amouage when it dries down... that is when the magic begins.
    3) I have not smelled Dior Homme, but I have Dior Homme Parfum, and a sample of Dior Homme Intense. This is a like but not a love DNA for me.
    4) Never tried Sweetie Aoud, but will someday.
    5)Nishane's fan your flames. I got the discovery set for Nishane in the Spring and was not impressed by anything I smelled. I did get the play doh vibes, but it didn't gross me out. It just didn't grab my attention.
    6) I recently got a bottle of Naxos my first Xerjoff would like to try Zefiro.
    7) Not tried Cartier's Declaration Parfum. I will have get my nose on it when I come across it.
    When I think of Unique fragrances I think of A*man, I know Kilian's Intoxicated is kind of like it, but A*man was the first. The first for a lot of things.

    Unique & polarizing is what I'm getting lately. Here is 2 of them: 🔹Les Liquides Imaginaires beauté du diable. It's a clove fragrance with absynth, gin, Cobblestone,etc.. 🔹Parfum D'Empire Ambre Russe. It's an amber fragrance with vodka & champagne.

    Along with its resemblance to the infinity symbol, as Hopliax pointed out, it is said that the number 8 represents victory, prosperity, and overcoming difficulties.

    oooh what about a fragrance video battling countries or styles, eg: an italian collection vs Oriental, or on fragrances inspired by geographic locations like the mojave desert, spain etc. I feel that would be wildly polarising and popular as a video.

    I’m really enjoying the King Blue sample I have. Great fragrance. Complex and unique. It is not a “blue” fragrance at all and there is an interesting story behind the name and the inspirational art. I can’t remember all of what was said but it’s the Art of Living piece by Rene Magritte. King Blue is at the top of my wishlist

    I hated Fan your Flames. It just smelled like a massive pile of oakmoss to my nose. The playdough thing I could totally see. Its so mossy to my nose that is almost floral. Like the whiff of flowers that instantly hits you when you walk into a funeral home.... Only bottle in my collection I ever had to sell. Though I will say, I could tell the naturals in there are very high quality. So interesting to me how our olfactory responses work. Thats the art in the science of perfumery!

    Love your choices. Except Dior Homme. I smelled King Blue on a blotter and I really liked it. I think it is tamer than Royal Tobacco. Haven't smelled fan your flames yet. I do think that the weirdest and most unique perfume (in a bad way) that I ever smelled is Tom Ford F*** Fabulous. I hated the mid notes more than the tops and the dry down. But over all, I think it is unwearable by earthlings, I bet the MIB had something to do with its formulation and I'm sure it is very popular in some extraterrestrial communities. 😂

    I just have never gotten it with Dior Homme. I was gifted a bottle with the metallic housing for the dip tube. I have Dior Homme Intense 2020 and I've smelled the others. It does nothing for me. I know I am in the extreme minority but holy cow. Almost every fragrance reviewer loves this and it is completely meh to me. I am not accusing reviewers of dishonesty, just that noses are different.

    • @sorv5790
      @sorv5790 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      And you're absolutely right, fragrance is such a subjective thing. There's nothing wrong with that. I'm an iris lover myself so I'm curious: have you tried other iris-based fragrances to see if it's just the iris note that doesn't move you? For me it's fig. I don't know why but fig to me smells like heated plastic, haha.

    • @jimlittle5769
      @jimlittle5769 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@sorv5790 Rose is that for me. If I catch rose in a fragrance as anything more than a subtle background note, it's over for me.

    • @wannabegolfin24-72
      @wannabegolfin24-72 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @sorv5790 Yes! I can't mention any fragrance I love that has iris as a star player. For me, iris comes off as very flat & stagnant. It's also weird that I have multiple forms of iris in my garden & enjoy the smell independent of anything else. Put it in a fragrance & NOPE.

    • @wannabegolfin24-72
      @wannabegolfin24-72 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @jimlittle5769 absolutely. For me, rose is more tolerable than iris. I would say lots of people don't like rose in fragrances but enjoy the smell of rose in a garden.

    • @jimlittle5769
      @jimlittle5769 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@wannabegolfin24-72 Yup, love smelling roses in person, but on a fragrance if it's anywhere near a major note, it actually makes me physically nauseous.

    I only smelled declaration and fan your flame from this list and I agree. The declaration line is good but the parfum adds that uniqueness because it kinda goes in a different direction. Fan your flames while it never blew me away scent wise I fell in love with it right away I eventually had to because of how unique it is.
