Special lecture by Ms. Amina Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations on SDGs

Sophia University hosted a special online lecture "Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Realizing Youth Aspirations in a Disrupted World" by Ms. Amina J. Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations (No 2 at UN Secretariat in New York ) on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.
After the keynote speech by Ms.Mohammed, Professor Daisaku Higashi of Sophia University facilitated the dialogue between her and students from all over the world and discuss how people across the globe could collaborate to address the global challenges, including issues on gender, pandemic, global warming, and armed conflicts. Professor Tsutomu Sakuma (Chancellor of Sophia University), Professor Yoshiaki Terumichi (President of Sophia University), and Ms. Kaoru Nemoto at UN Information Center in Tokyo presented initial remarks; Professor Sali Augustine (Executive Managing Trustee for General Affairs of Sophia University) gave us the comment.
