I feel like in this day and age, she wouldn't care - all she does is recite nursery rhymes. The rhyme that follows the big reveal would be "I Love Little Pussy".
Susie reminds me of one of my friends. She's just as Asian, too. The thing is, she's a teacher's pet, so she gets gets with drawing anime-ish all throughout class and writing in all caps, Comic Sans, or an ungodly combination of both.
AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I had (have?) this tape as a child and I LOVED it. I love the Wee Sing videos in general. Poofer always reminded me of Harry Anderson. I wanted to ride a snow flake and compose horrible poetry for Christmas!
I had been trying to find this movie for years. I had vague memories, but couldn't remember the name of it. Watching this video has to be in one of my top 3 most nostalgic moments, along with the time RedLetterMedia reviewed "Lost in Dinosaur World" and the time I found an LP of "Jungle Train 3D"
My theory is she only speaks in poetry to compensate for some horrific trauma she experienced prior to being adopted. Everyone just rolls with it because if they don't, Suzie becomes an inconsolable screaming mess.
Every moment featured in this video is just golden. The dancing, the names, the weird kids that look like little punks but actually want to play Christmas music. How could they have so many well written scenes in this one movie?
Holy shit, Suzy was signing her little Christmas Tree rhyme! As someone taking a Sign Language class, that's a really cute touch Edit: She signs a whole lot more than just the tree rhyme- Still cute
I'm so glad someone else noticed, i was pretty impressed at the inclusion and it's probably also the reason that she looks adopted, they wanted a child actor who could also do that
@@omikron6218 there is, and sign language lyric renditions of songs as well. Which, I’m not deaf myself but I’ve been told that can communicate a lot about the rhythm and emotion of the track in a way subtitles or a singalong thing don’t, which of course are lacking otherwise if you can’t hear.

Protagnis YT well, they would only need to make them for children. And only Christian/Catholic children. That probably thins out the 5 billion by a fair amount.
I remember watching this over and over and over when I was little (much to the displeasure of my older siblings). It's easily been 18 years since I last watched this and just seeing the beginning made it all come back to me.
I know this video is ancient by internet standards, but Ian should review the other Wee Sing videos. All of them have at least one puppet segment; most are just as terrifying as those bells.
Just rewatched this video for the first time in probably 12 or 13 years last weekend. Everything you said about it was dead on. Susie’s poetry was driving me bonkers.
I had Wee Sing Train when I was little and I really loved it. I never saw The Best Christmas Ever and I really laughed at the ten little "angels" part (It might be ripe for a death metal cover). Maybe you could cover all the other Wee Sing VHS titles in the future.
I gotta tell you man, you made my complete day. I actually laughed, I was having the worst Christmas eve of my life and you managed to put a smile on my face, gotta hand it down to you man. This time of the year is really hard for me, I really appreciate that. Merry Christmas Ian and thanks.
Oh my God, Ian. I hadn't thought about Wee Sing Christmas in - I shit you not - 23 years. Thanks for the trip down memory lane and the release of some repressed memories! Merry Christmas!
I used to watch this every year when I was little omg... I guess when you're a little kid you don't notice how TERRIFYING those bells are. Great video!
Due to timezone differences, it's already Christmas Day morning here. This is the best present I could have asked for. The comment at 5:54 about slam poetry had me in stitches. Thanks Ian! You've made my Christmas!
I remember always checking out manga (Dragon Ball, the Zelda manga, etc) and video games/strategy guides from the library. I wish it was still open, or at least there was one around my current house, there's still a lot of stuff I want to read

Cathleen Hill Whoa! They STILL have libraries!? As much as I loved them, I stopped going a long time ago. LIke 2 years ago. I'm not Ian, but I think it means SOMEONE wants to check out the tape and keep it away from everyone else, or maybe they don't want whatever evil may lie in that tape to get to other people until they can exorcise it, or maybe they really like the tape, dude, who knows?
Every time I see dolls singing I'm reminded of that amazing scene from Charlie and the Chocolate factory when Wonka sets up a whole singing doll thing that bursts into flames and melts.
Oh hey I remember this VHS. Despite being about six years old I was nonetheless embarrassed to be seen in the same room as it, for I only watched manly things.... such as Jingle All the Way.
I'd tell Suzie she's adopted, but I don't want to sit through the poetry that follows.
Lol
I feel like in this day and age, she wouldn't care - all she does is recite nursery rhymes.
The rhyme that follows the big reveal would be "I Love Little Pussy".
i get the feeling Susie was cursed by a witch so now she can only talk in poems
It's pretty bad that makes sense and could easily work for this movie.
You do be spitting facts tho
37 years ago a witch done put a spell on me,
A spell where when I'm talkin', I'm rhyming it with glee
I thought she was just a bard
To be fair, Suzy coming up with rhymes like that right on the spot is kinda impressive.
BARs.
Table and cradle, as a rhyme???
@@atlasking6110 if slant rhyme is good enough for Emily Dickinson, surely it's good enough for Suzie
Susie is that kid at school that always tries to impress the adults and so no one likes her, not even the adults

Hal Ryder I'm that person unfortunately
I think she speaks in rhyme so her adoptive parents think she is smart so they won't bring her back to the orphanage.
My sister... please help
Oof horrible how like that's literally like 10% of kids. If my kid ends up being like that I'd definitely beat it out of him/her.😂
"Hey Carol, you know what would be funny? If we adopted a minority and taught them how to only speak in nursery rhymes."
god she never shuts up.Can we send her back?

"You wanna start poofing?"
"I'm going out for a poof."
Gosh, you could make poof into a replacement for Smurf.
Satan Clause
you poof of that all by your poofing self?

I'm waiting for people watching someone dressed as Gusty the Elf failing to hammer a nail to become an official Christmas tradition.
This was hilarious, the "slam poetry" line gets me every time, especially once the countdown continues through to zero and Ian is like "OH MY GOD~"
Susie spits some fuckin straight fire man
A Brutalmoose video on Christmas Eve? Awesome present!
ThinkingOfYou75 I know right?
ThinkingOfYou75 69th like!
I guess you could say this is the best christmas ever
Ever notice how there's actually five days until christmas, that kid just counted to the 24th?
A Spoopy Scaley Scary Man Maybe that's just when his family celebrates Christmas.
TheFlamingDoh2 That would make that family WRONG and full of LOSERS.
A Spoopy Scaley Scary Man I don't why he counted to the 24th, But in some countries they celebrate Christmas eve on the 24th.
I think they tried to make Susie whimsical with her poems, but it comes off more forceful and annoying.
Uhm no guy from seven years ago, I think she's very endearing. They brought her into their loving abode and taught her the joys of rhyme and rhythm.
"They actually named this elf... Poofer."
Well, I mean, that's better than him being named COOOOO-TERRRRRR
Every moment featured in this video is just golden. The dancing, the names, the weird kids that look like little punks but actually want to play Christmas music. How could they have so many well written scenes in this one movie?

Haha, I thought the same reading that comment.
Neil Divins Considering how "diverse" 90's shows always tried to be i wouldn't be surprised
"That's not the only thing that's coming" I lost it after that line! FFS!! funny stuff right there.
