Some great goal cards, Rick. Lots of local shows for you. Nice '68 Orioles cards. The '63 Tresh looks crisp! Love "Crazy Legs". Nice Stargell RC. Happy Birthday Willie! You don't sound complicated to me. You are a sophisticated collector!
Gave a video like - Aren't we all complicated collectors!? 🤣Really enjoy the Morrell Meats cards. That '63 Mays is one of my favorites of his. Great video as always, Rick.
I think I am the most complicated of all. I make up all these rules in my head. hahaha. Yeah, those Morrell Meats card are the best. Mays is a god! Thanks for watching!
Hi Rick, A thoughtful collector is bound to be complicated. You're often thinking about the direction you want your collection to go and the card that will help you get it there. Of course, you know I love the 51 Bowman Hirsch. The image with the blue uniform and yellow background just pops. It looks like something your would see in a comic book or piece of advertising from the era. Great looking Frank, Brooks and Boog trio. You're right Boog was an excellent player, but if you're not in the HOF, it is hard for today's fans to remember you. Beautiful Tresh with the light blue full bleed and the rookie trophy. That is the challenge of set building. The minor stars that are single prints or fan favorites that cost you in some cases more than a HOFer. Keep doing what you're doing. I always enjoy your videos. I look forward to the Podcast.
Thanks Terry. My mind goes all over the place when it comes to my collection! Whenever I buy a Rams card now, I always say "wait 'til Terry sees it". man, that Tresh card will live in infamy. My friend says he still needs Tresh's 69 card to finish his set. The man is just elusive. Thanks for watching, my friend!
Hey Rick! We are all complicated haha! Glad to see you make another video. Really looking forward to that podcast! Great pickups and i'm with you on the Tom Tresh. I needed that card to complete the rookie cup set for that year and would not pay 30 dollars for it and one of the card shows i was at i picked up about 10 56'topps for my set and I happened to ask if he had it and he did and gave it to me for 15 i couldn't pay fast enough just to get it complete haha! Glad to hear all is going well and that high # set is going to be pretty awesome and definitely a good investment! Enjoy your videos as always!!!!
Mike! I thought I was the only one who was complicated, but it sounds like a bunch of us are! That Tresh card was a pain. I have a buddy who still needs his 1969 card to finish that set. Sounds like you got a good deal on the 63. Thanks so much for watching!
I have some of the same thoughts you expressed in this video. Especially thinking nobody wants to see the cards I have because they can see them everywhere. Your collection is spectacular and I always enjoy your videos! Although I don’t consider myself a Dodger fan in particular, I really like the Morrell Meats cards Your Podres pickup looks great!
Rick, it's a struggle for me sometimes to figure out what to show. I am glad I am not alone in thinking this way. Love the Morrell Meats cards too. Do you have any? Do you see them much on the east coast? Appreciate your kind words, Rick!
Unfortunately I don't have any yet. I do have a 1960 Bell Brand Duke Snider and a 1961 Bell Brand Gil Hodges, which are also very cool. You probably know this, but I only learned yesterday that Red Heart Dog Food was a subsidiary of Morrell Meats. It was on recent the @BaseballCollector GAOC Podcast with @DansVintagePC. I should have known it because in my copy of Beckett's Baseball Card Price Guide #10 it plainly states the relationship in the Red Heart description! So much for my ability to retain facts (lol)! Anyway, keep the faith because you are doing great work on TH-cam and I haven't really found anyone else that does what you do!@@RickAcostaDodgerCardCollector
@@Rocketrickj18 Those Bell Brand cards are nice! I have a few but they're not cheap either. I NEVER knew about Red Heart and Morrell Meats. I should have been listening! I appreciate your kind work, Rick. It means a lot. Have a great day!
Hey, Morrell Meats is out of south Dakota! I should collect those. I don't have any. You and i were competitors for the 1963 Jim gosger, lol 😂 glad you're back
The problem with Tresh was that he wasn't Mantle. If Mantle was a few years younger and healthier, Tresh could have had a career more like Maris. Good ball player though.

Sophisticated, I like that!! HAHAHA. I hope to give a full recharge of these shows. Thanks for watching!
I would like to see your back yard when it’s done.
another good idea. It's going to have to look damn good for me to show it off!!
Show us whatever cards you want. It’s not always about the cards. I know I tune in for the personality, the passion, and the knowledge you provide.
That's good to know. I appreciate you chiming in. Thanks!

Fun video Rick! Really like those Morrell Meats. Pop up Dodgers sound great too.
Thanks Scott!!
Id love for you to show some cards from the 70s and tell us your memories of the players and games you seen live or on tv.
That's a great idea! I am going to have to pick some players. Stay tuned for something (hopefully) soon.
Nice pickups Rick, only Clemente for the 63s left...well done. Good luck hunting it down...cheers!!
Thanks Mike. Hopefully I can wrap up this set by June.
Good on you for securing your collection! And Lovely tribute to a great Mets hall of famer, Willie Mays! (Wink wink)
Almost as famous a Met as Gil Hodges or Casey Stengel, Mookie!
@@RickAcostaDodgerCardCollector don’t forget Duke Snider! Hahaha great stuff, Rick
Rick, nice hear about the security system.
Love the Morrell Meats cards. I still need to pickup my 1sf Koufax from those 3 seasons.
TJ If you find a Koufax, please show it to us!

I wish Morrell Meats would have made more cards of other teams. They would be nice to collect.
@RickAcostaDodgerCardCollector I didn't know until just 2 hours ago that they only did dodgers. How odd for a Midwest company.
@@the_card_closet YUP, only Dodgers!
The Morrell Meats Podres is great. I’ve yet to dive into those but definitely on the list. Nice!
Thanks! I just subscribed to your channel. Look forward to seeing more of your stuff.
@@RickAcostaDodgerCardCollector thank you! I think I did it right but scheduled by first video to post tomorrow morning. Your collection is awesome.
@@MarksDodgersCards I liked your 1956 Topps team set. Nice lighting in that room. I could see the cards clear as day.

And Tresh in the early 70s could have played with Murcer and Munson.
