- As the days are getting noticeably cooler, against our better judgement, we head up the coast of the Costa Brava region. In summer this area must be a completely different experience and we take our time to enjoy the towns and beaches around Torroella de Montgrí.

ABOUT US:
Welcome! We’re Andre and Lisa. A married South African couple who has been travelling together for almost 20 years, to more than 50 countries. In 2017 we took stock of our life and made the decision to 'retire early'. We gave up our professional careers and all our personal possessions in order to explore the world as full-time nomads. Hi, I only just found your channel. I vacationed 52 years ago in Tossa del Mar and met a German girl. Shortly after we married and after 30 years living in different countries we retired to Spain 23 years ago. We now live on the Costa Blanca enjoying life here. There are so many beautiful parts to Spain, North, South, inland, the Picos and so on. Have fun, I will follow your adventures. Stay safe.

The castle hike is something we would enjoy, as we like the odd hike now and then.

Is it usually 🤔 as good?
On avg yes, but there's no guarantee. When the sun is out (which is often) it's nice, but with no cloud it's much colder at night. The region south of Barcelona all the way into Andalucia along the coast doesn't generally see a lot of rain and sunny skies are common. However, in January it's definitely wetter and if you go up in altitude it gets cold very quickly. This year it's forecast to be somewhat wetter than avg but warmer. But who knows.
@WeWillNomad Thanks guys, I do appreciate you taking the time to give me a very comprehensive reply, I'm seriously thinking of heading to Spain for a month or so in the winter, if not this definitely next. As a person with COPD I think the Spanish weather would work wonders. Thanks 👍

There is also neighboring Lloret de Mar. I once booked a holiday there with my wife and child and my mother in law - not knowing that Lloret de mar is one of the major insemination hubs of western europe. In other words - if You need an insemination - thats the place to go. Almost broke my leg slipping in a used preservative. However - knowing that, we went for a boatride to neighboring Tossa de mar - a completely different vibe. No inseminations - at least not in the open. Spain really has somthing for everyone.
